1955 CHEVROLET 3600 5 WINDOWFLATBED 4X4 NAPCO CONVERSION
Exutility company truck from dry, central Washington state. From the previous owner, this truck was originally used by a Washington state power company before it was transferred to private ownership. It was then used to plow snow on a ranch in Washington before he took ownership, approximately10-15 years ago. He drove it to his place, where it has been parked since. It was occasionally started and moved but has not been driven,or started, within the last 5 years.
This truck is equipped with the NAPCO 4x4 PowerPakconversion that was a dealer installed option. Numbers matching front axle and transfer case. The truck is also equipped with a transfer case driven PTO that operates the winch mounted on the front bumper. Original, numbers matching 235 six cylinder.
The body of the truck is solid but has a few small dents. The floor has some rust and will need new panels if restored.
The engine and running gear appears complete and I'm sure this truck will run will relatively little work.
Factory ordered SABCO flatbed.
Complete set of 5 original 16" wheels with lock rings. Only one is currently on the truck.
These early NAPCO conversions are much less common than the later, post '55 era trucks. And, finding one in this condition and complete isvery unique. Thistruckneeds to be preserved and restored. Once restored, this truck has the potential to be the highlight of any collection or show.
This truck is sold with a good title.
Truck is located in Ponderay, Idaho 83852.
Truck is listed for sale locally and auction may end early.
