Car description

This 1969 Camaro belongs to my buddy Rich ( His number to call for questions about the car is 360-340-4703 - if he misses your call, lease leave message and he will call you right back ) I am listing this Camaro for him on my account because I strongly feel this is an excellent car to build the way you have dreamt of as the 69 Camaro is a true American Icon - legend if you will. Since this Camaro is not an RS or SS or even Z/28 it is an excellent candidate to build your own version of a COPO, enko, S or what have you. These never go down in value !! We have no history of this Camaro, o original engine or transmission - what we do know is what we have decoded from Trim Tag and VIN - this is originally a V-8, rost Green with Black Interior Camaro. The pedal assembly looks original and though transmission tunnel is cut up, art of the forward cutting does look to neat and clean to have been hacked up - looks more factory. We are not to well versed in GM manual transmissions so we don't know which 4 speed this is, Saginaw or maybe Borg Warner. I do know the gears are super close and tight together, ut is a cast Iron case. This is a running and driving project. Will need some electrical repair's made before being street legal as brake lights do not work or Blinkers. The engine is a 350 with a 4 barrel, casting number is 3970010 and a picture of the Suffix Code pad is included in pictures below. Motor sounds healthy and runs good and fires right up. I would suggest going thru it first though to make sure it has clean oil and fresh coolant before hitting the streets. Clutch seems to engage and disengage pretty well. Brakes feel fine. Appearance wise, ar looks great ! The hood I can not tell if its an original GM or a reproduction, ut underside is pictured below. Like I mentioned above, his Camaro was born Frost Green but has been painted several times over its life time with previous being a Hugger Orange color. It has real nice wheels on it and pretty good tires. I did not notice any chips in windshield and definitely no cracks. Issues with body - front passenger fender should be replaced, rivers side is in good enough condition to be reused. It does need a core support as bushings have dry rotted away and a few rust issues. Then on rear passenger side lower quarter there were a couple of dime sized rust holes - they were not properly repaired. There are no inner fenders for car or backseat but there is a newer black carpet layed in car right now plus some extra parts that go with car like the drivers side floor patch panel, ome weather stripping etc.. The floorboards are phenomenal condition but drivers side does have a couple of small holes a little no larger than an eraser at end of pencil creeping through at gas pedal BUT there is a new patch panel comes with car. No other replacement of sheetmetal except repair of transmission tunnel. Trunk floor is same condition, xcellent except passenger side trunk pan extension has a couple holes coming through not much larger than pin holes. The underside of car leads me to believe that it has been a Southern California car most all its life ( it was built in Van Nuys ) as it was never undercoated and its so super clean underneath. Body to sub-frame bushings should be replaced as they have dry rotted. Will need a new gas tank, ut have a good one to go with car - most all the work needed will be sanding all the paint off and a couple of small patches - not bad for an unrestored 69 Camaro. This is really the BEST kinda 1969 Camaro to have because building your dream Hot Rod, ou don't want to take a higher end Camaro like an SS or Z/28 and customize. With the market flooded with inexpensive parts for these cars, ts affordable to build. Again, hese first gen Camaro's are ownership dreams of almost ALL men and women and several generations. Again, ich's number is 360-340-4703 and he would be happy to talk with any prospective buyers. There is a $500.00 Pay Pal deposit required within 24 hours of end of auction and then balance is due in full within 7 days of auctions end. We would like to wrap this transaction up as quickly as possible as I am sure you would too. Please check my other listings as we are also selling a " Project " 1968 RS/SS 396 automatic car and a 1941 Pontiac Silver Streak Torpedo Back " Hot Rod "If you are having car transported, ere is the Zip Code for you to get a quote : 98370 and that is Poulsbo Washington. Be happy to help load as it is a runner. Thanks for looking and Happy Holidays everyone !!!
