Up for your consideration is a 1957 Chevy Bel Air 2-door Sedan. Drivetrain: Equipped with a 283 (do not know whether or not original), 50 Turbo transmission, nd a stock rear. The engine starts right up and idles and runs well with good oil pressure and it does not run hot. Engine does not smoke. The engine has an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and an Edelbrock carb. The car is equipped with headers and a stainless dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. The exhaust system (appx 3 years old) is in very good shape. Car drives very nicely. New gas tank. Power front disc brakes. Dual reservoir master cylinder. Trans cooler. Newer (original style) radiator. Trans shifts through the gears very nicely and does not slip. HEI distributor.Interior: very good condition. The interior has been completely redone. There are no stains or tears in the interior (seats, eadliner, arpet, oor panels). The original speedometer, dometer, il pressure and water temp gauges do not work. Subsequently, he car has been outfitted with an aftermarket, nder-dash, auge package. The original gas gauge does work. The original radio does not work, ut an aftermarket, nder-dash, adio/CD player has been added. All windows work. Glass is nice with no cracks. Interior is a neutral color, llowing you to choose almost any exterior color you like. Note: there are some red spots that show in the pictures as being on the interior...these are not stains, hey are a reflection that appeared in the photos. There are a few small stains on the upper left hand portion of the rear seat (visible in photos), hich may or may not clean-up...we have not tried.Exterior: The car rolls on American Racing wheels which show very nicely. Tires have about 75% tread left. Exterior stainless trim, hrome, umpers are all very nice, ith a couple small imperfections. The chrome bar, n the center of the grill, s cracked (visible in pics). Hood rockets are not on car, ut go with car. Body is very nice condition. All body work has been completed and the car is ready for paint. Most body lines line up very nicely. Doors, runk, nd hood all open and close nicely. Horns are missing (wires are there). Chassis: Floors have had some patch work over the years but are solid. Frame is solid. Trunk is solid. Inner rockers are solid. Car is equipped with an electric wiper motor. Wiring harness replaced at some point. Heater controls are there, ut rest of heater apparatus is missing (was a Florida car when we acquired it). This car is an excellent driver, nd we would feel comfortable driving cross country in it.
