Car description

A very nice preserved '53 3100 1 owner farm truck! This one has been parked in the farms barn since 1981! Many dings, bumps and scratches abound BUT thereisn't the first ounce ofbondo anywhere! It was originally a maroon red truck but has been brush painted several times throughout its long life. This multilayered paint job has added so much character to the existing patina of which folks love! All body panels/fenders are factory attached and have never been removed. There is practically no rust other than a small bit on the lowest portions of the lower cab corners. Bottoms of doors are in wonderful condition. Floorboard is inextremely solid condition with the original rubber floor mat still present. Even the factory cardboard headliner is in great condition. Dashboard is original and uncut or modified. All gages present and original but unsure of operation. Odometer appears to read 106k miles...Gulf Oil doorsticker indicates front wheel bearings werepacked at 83k miles. This truck even still has itsoriginal ignition key! The bench seat is original and in great shape considering its farm life. All glass is present but much of it has aged and cracked as well as the seals. The short bed is in good condition asidefrom the typical plywood overlay covering the original wooden bed floor. Descent bumpers front and back as well as extremely nice running boards. All four wheels are original equipment PLUS the original spare tire however a few hubcaps are long gone. The front grill slats are in very nice, traight condition provingthis old truck was not misused. The hood is equally in great condition with only the chrome 3100 badges missing. The roof has only slight rustfrom missing paint but is very solid andnever having been sunk in from storage. Both headlights and park lights are intact. The inline 216 was initially stuck but has since been freed and turns over nicely with the original 6v starter. Three speed gearbox still accepts all 4 positions as well the clutch appears to function fine. The motor is not in running condition but could easily brought back to life with all original parts still intact including the radiator. There is no title on this vehicle as it never had one but anotarized bill of sell will be given. I'veattempted to cover all areas but always seem to forget something so please ask. This is a wonderful old truck and needs a new loving caretaker so please bidresponsibly. Also, may be able to deliver within a reasonable distance for a very fair price so let me know if you need assistance. Thanks for looking! Mike
