Cadillac was restyled and re-engineered for 1961 with tail fins lowered and complemented by skegs, the panoramic wraparound windshield replaced by a conventional windshield and with the car sporting a lighter look than the preceding years. Most luxurious appointments we now take for granted were often optional in the early sixties but standard equipment included power brakes, power steering, automatic transmission, dual backup lights, windshield washer, dual speed wipers, wheel discs, plain fender skirts, outside rearview mirror, vanity mirror, oil filter, power windows and 2-way power seats. Rubberized front and rear coil springs replaced the trouble prone air suspension system. Four-barrel induction systems were now the sole power choice and dual exhausts were no longer available
This particular example presents very well with no signs of any accidents and the 390/325HP 4 barrel V8 engine is strong and powerful and and this particular car drives very well. The transmission shifts smoothly through the gears and the car is an absolute pleasure to drive! The car has its original spare wheel in the trunk.
This is a great opportunity to own a wonderful daily driving example of a 1961 Cadillac Coupe de Ville showing pride of ownership throughout in great driving and looking condition with almost every possible factory available option.
