The 1976 Eldorados were touted as "The Last Convertibles" and were, in fact the last Cadillac convertible on the large Eldorado chassis with the 500 cubic inch V8 engine. The ultimate in 70's luxury!
This car is an exceptional original example with just 61,983 miles, which are believed to be correct. The Emberglow Firemist paint is in excellent condition with a deep shine. Body is straight with good panel fit and no rust or rot. The interior is also original throughout. Beautiful red leather upholstery. Door panels and plastic trim are in great condition. All accessories work. Power top in excellent condition, raises and lowers as it should. Includes car cover and original soild fiberglass "parade boot" to cover the lowered top and may be used as a parade seat. Please see video and photos.
After being acquired by the current owner, he had plans to drive it on a regular basis, so he commissioned Ross Restorations in Spring Hill, Tennessee to perform a full rebuild of the original engine and drivetrain. Ross is well-known for their quality work and attention to detail. Everything was done and upgraded without regard to cost to make it a solid, reliable driver for the 21st Century. Runs smooth and strong, with plenty of power. Nicely detailed. Please see video of engine running. After completion, the car has been driven less than 1,100 miles when plans changed and the owner moved to Oregon. He is now making it available here.
