Car description |
---|
This car replaces the 1976 Eldo CV I bought new in 1977. It was the lap of luxury then and is still as an older car today. These were technically advanced cars in 1976. They were the last US convertibles produced for many years.
Back then they were all virtually the same cars. Everything was automatic. Some had fuel injection. Mine doesn't. It does have a fiberglass Parade Boot which covers the retracted top. This matching cover allows one to sit on the back of the car in a parade or otherwise. My boot is new and matches the car color.
While most of these cars started life with the same features those available today vary by use and prior ownership. Mine had one loving owner since new. The relatively low miles and good condition reflect this.
With all these bells and whistles this car has been driven frequently which for me assures reliability. Make no mistake these are very large, soft-riding, touring cars that will pass anything on the road except a gas station.
Pricing for '76 Eldo CVs varies widely. Mine is in the middle range. Value depends on overall condition determined by mileage and maintenance. If you like this color make this your car. I think it is better than others I see for sale. It has a clear Texas title in my name.
If the pictures and prose don't persuade call me for the Eldorado lecture. Dave P • 713 703 1207.
Note: From an enlightened observer..."The factory color of your beauty is called Phoenician Ivory and the interior Antique Light Gold. Personally I think your model was the most beautiful Eldorado Convertible produced. The ivory top is no longer available anywhere". Thanks/DP
