Car description

For sale or trade..details of trade at bottom.

1957 Cadillac Eldorado Seville

365 c.i. Factory Dual Quads !

Space age design

Runs-Drives-Texas Registration

Insured by Haggerty.

Survivor Car - Time capsule - Unrestored

This is all original patina and looks great at 20 ft or up close... very original.

Professionally rebuilt original motor and tranny (VIN # matching)

Starts easy every time

Idles great

Runs, shifts and drives great

Drives straight and true on the highway, very smooth riding car.

Original interior (Blue Leather and blue metal flake cloth seats)

Even has the original carpet and it's in great condition (I have a new carpet kit to go with it).

Original 365 c.i. Engine was professionally rebuilt to stock specs by machinist (engine builder) and it runs fantastic.

New PS pump

Single wire alternator built inside original generator housing.

Original Radiator recored (4 Core)

This is a factory dual quad car and the numbers on the back of the engine block were used to verify this information, so we built it back to factory specs.

The correct Carter 4-bbl WCFB carbs (with original tags) were also rebuilt and work great.

Sorry I do not have the original batwing air cleaner. The original owner said it was stolen and he never replaced it. I purchased and installed a set of Carter WCFB (dual carb) air cleaners for a 1957 Corvette until I can find a good batwing. They look great and are retro period correct.

If you look carefully in the photo, you can see the original batwing outline with Cadillac V on the hood insulation mat. This is the 57 Eldorado Shroud of Turin.

The original transmission (Jetaway Hydramatic) was also rebuilt and all gears shift great.

Hood and trunk open perfect and easy.

Automatic remote trunk latch and motor work great.

New front and rear shocks.

All headlights lights, parking/fog lights, tail/brake lights and turn signals work.

Paint appears to be a repaint from the 60's / 70's and was painted same as original color (Bahama Blue)... this is a survivor paint job and I would not touch it unless you want to do a complete paint job. It has a beautiful and original patina.

Original and untouched headliner and it look great ! I would not touch it. Looks too good.

Horn works.

This car has the original, extremely rare and expensive (Trumpet Horn) behind the driver's headlight. It has never been removed and it sounds great (different sound).

Original Aluminum Kelsey Hayes (Sabre) Wheels with new 57 Eldorado center caps.

Power windows (all 4 work).

Both door panels looks great.

I have the chrome trim for driver's door panel that is missing in the photo. It is in great condition and just needs to be installed on door panel.

All dash lights, indicators and gauges work.

Speedo does not work, but I recently bought a new cable (NOS) and have not yet installed it.

I installed a new gas tank and new stainless steel gas line (correct for 57 Eldorado). New fuel sending unit- fuel gauge works.

This car is A/C delete.

New brakes, brake lines, brake hoses and brake master cylinder.

New wheel bearings

New tires

Floors and frame are in excellent condition !

I have a lift at my shop and this car can be inspected underneath before purchase so you can see when you are getting / no surprises.

Very minimal rust (see photos)

Under the original cloth top (see photo)

On upper passenger door frame (see photo)

Small spots on lower door/fender (see photo)

This car was garage kept and is in Excellent condition.

The front driver brake hub makes a little noise when braking and turning at same time but the wheel bearings are new as well as the brakes. Hub is in great condition and I do not know where the noise is coming from.

This car drives and sounds normal unless turning and braking, etc... then it makes a small scratching sound on front left hub.

I drive it all the time and it is very dependable.

The rear bumpers are factory Chrome Plated Aluminum. The Aluminum is pitted a little but it is not rust. I painted them silver until I can get them re-chromed.

Does not smoke, knock, tick or overheat.

Driver's front door glass has crack but does not leak and is safe to drive.

Wipers are vacuum and not hooked up.. I bought an 12v electric replacement motor, specifically for a 57 Eldorado that bolts right in to the stock location and hooks up to the stock wiper arms and wiper transmission so it looks stock. This will go to the new owner.

I have the original front speaker and interior trim that is not shown in the photos. They are stored in my shop and will go to the new owner. I also have the original chrome strip that goes to the bottom of the cloth top. They are in excellent condition.

This car is ready to go and is a daily/weekly driver.

Clear Blue Texas Title in my name.

This car is for sale locally in Denison,Tx
