Here is a rare 1962 Cadillac Park Avenue -- one of only 2600out of 160000 Cadillac's for 1962. Rare indeed. Being thatthis is a Texas car (Brownsville from documents) it is verysolid and rust free; except there are a few minor bubbles inthe paint, and a small hole on the front of the hood. The gunmetal gray metallic is very nice, but not perfect, and not original. The newer carpeting and gray leather is like new.The chromeI believeis original and is in greatcondition. There are nonoticablecracks in the steering wheelor dash. This Cadillac is loaded withoptions, power windows, and seat, cruise control, electric eye, airconditioning and more. All the windows work but the 6-way powerseat works inall directions except back and forth. I haven'ttriedthecruisecontrol. The speedometer cable has been disconnected at thecruise control unit. So the true miles are unknown. The radioand power antenna does work well. A lot of money and workhas gone into this car. All the suspension and front end partshave been replaced, as have most of the air conditioningcomponents; the compressor appears to be original andfunctions as it should, although it has been converted to A34...it's doesn't blow cold, needs a charge. The heat does seem towork.Mechanically it runs very well and seems to shifts as itshould. It has a new re-manufacture carburetor. The correctRochester 4brrl. The original goes with the car. She drivesdown the road tight and straight. The tires are newer as is thegas tank...Although the gas gauge doesn't work properly. All the glassexcellent except there is a dime size chip in the windshield behind therearview mirror. You can't see it from inside the car.I don't know what else to say. If you have any questions pleaseask. I have gone over the car with a magnet, and there is nosign of any body work, and the undercarriage is very solid withno patching. It's very straight. A real head turner! |
