Car description

This 1973 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible not only possess all the massive curb appeal responsible for the model to be immortalized in song and on the screen, but it's also an opulent and well-equipped cruising machine, with just the right set of features that will make you want to take it out on the road as often as you can.
1973 was a pretty big year for the Eldorado. Cadillac saw fit to move it out of their iconic Fleetwood line and re-establish it as its own series. In the process, it received a facelift that included the addition of a signature "egg-crate" style front grille, new front and rear bumpers, a more refined decklid and rear fenders and re-shaped taillamps. Cadillac's handiwork was a rousing success, revitalizing sales and leading to the Eldorado's selection as the official pace car of the Indianapolis 500 that year. Take a look and you can see what the fuss was about. Sporting a great Dynasty Red hue on top of those design changes, this Caddy has a definite sleekness - it's one seriously cool vintage drop top. Despite its nearly 45 years of life, it's looking great, with clean, straight chrome bumpers in both front and back, undented trim and well-fitted body panels, as evidenced by just how smoothly those sizable doors open and close and how those prominent stretches of chrome trim on its sides transition from front fender to door to quarter panel while remaining impressively level. On those occasions when you're seeking protection from the elements, the white power convertible top is in impressive condition, raising and lowering without issue and sporting a noticeably clear glass window in back. And for those occasions when the top is down, it comes with a matching red parade boot for a very clean look.
You'll have no problem picturing yourself situated in the driver's seat, surrounded by this awesome red and white leather interior. The bench seats in front and back show little evidence of any use and remain very well padded and comfortable, with a matching fold down arm rest in front. Check out those door panels - not only do they match the color pattern of the seating, but the Cadillac emblems they're sporting are a great detail, matching those found on the seats. You can't help but notice the generous amount of room inside here - plenty to seat three in back, which is a good thing, as you'll have no shortage of willing passengers when you take this beauty out on the road. Driver and passengers alike will ride in comfort, as the air conditioning is running nice and strong, and with the tilt wheel, power seats and windows, it's easy to find just the right cruising position. Just in front of the stock Cadillac steering wheel, everything looks great, as well - the gauges inside the instrument cluster are easily readable through a clear lens and the dash pad on top is level and split-free.
This vintage convertible runs with confidence-inspiring smoothness. There's a 500-cubic inch V8 under that lengthy hood and the sizable engine is bolted to a 3-speed automatic transmission that shifts with abundant precision to serve notice that this ride will have no issues serving as your daily driver should you so choose. The power steering remains nice and tight and, with power brakes on all four corners, this sizable car comes to a stop in proper order when called on. It remains in its ideal, low-slung original stance and sits on a set of 15" stock Cadillac rims, wrapped in Hankook Optimo tires.
