Car description

Up for auction is this cool old land yacht !!! A 7TH GENERATION 1976 BUICK ELECTRA LIMITED SEDAN MADE IN FLINT MICHIGAN ! !! Coming in at just over 19ft lon, and powered by a 455 V8, riding in this car is like being on your living room couch with wheels on it ! With only 91k on it ( yes ORIGINAL MILEAGE) there's a lot of driving to enjoy yet in this cruiser . Equipped with Tilt steering, power windows, power locks, and yes power seats it has all the classic features of the 70's luxury car had to offer. This Buick drives well for the older car she is and still has a lot of life in her. The engine runs well and the trans shifts smooth. Tires are good and should not need replacing. The ac is not working currently. The seller had its oil changed, an oil sending unit, and front brake pads replaced this week. The lovely sculptured clothe interior has some wear as you can see in the pictures but overall clean and in pretty good shape! The seats are comfortable and there aren't any tears or rips. Did you notice the burl wood accents around the interior door handles ? The heat blows nice and warm and the other controls work as they should. Clock is not working which is typical on these older cars too. Currently the radio is disconnected and there is CB that is connected in its place ! The body on the car reflects that it is an older restoration that is showing some age, the top has a little discoloration but is still nice and could probably use a good cleaning, a little rust in the door jams which are pictured, some paint fading and thinning as well as some chips and small imperfections in the body, but overall a nice 10 footer ! still shines and looks good in the sunshine too ! Most of the chrome is in good condition and is complete. Overall the car is clean and fun to drive and is mostly useable as is. Dont miss out on this one, its a stea, The car is for sale locally and i will take an offer ! For more information, Please call me at 815 566 7039 !

A LITTLE REVIEW AND FUN FACTS ABOUT THE 1976 BUICK ELECTRA !!

With many years for General Motors to perfect the full-size Buicks, there were only minor things that could have been made better for 1976 Electras. Although these had large, 455 cubic inch engines, exhaust emission reducers were thrown onto the design in the early '70s, which cut the horsepower back by about a third of its original design. When it came to passing other cars on the highway, these still had plenty of respectable get-up-and-go, jumping from 45 miles per hour to over 80 in less than three car lengths. While these were never meant to be race cars, they could get onto or off highways or pass with grace and ease.

General steering and driving is much easier than most imagine. Turning into most perpendicular parking places in the 1976 Electra can usually be done in one attempt, even though the car is over 19 feet long. Parallel parking is relatively easy, as the driver can see the front and rear corners of the car from the driver's seat, and the power steering works well. The optional passenger-side mirror made it easy to see curbs.

Riding and driving a 1976 Buick Electra makes for enjoyable and comfortable trips. It is like sitting in one's favorite chair or sofa while traveling. After a 90-minute trip, passengers would not struggle to exit nor would they have to stretch and yawn when exiting. The interiors were detailed with interesting simulated wood trim and chrome edging. The upholstery held up well to wear and normal sunlight. The 4-speaker stereo system has a decent sound, even over after 30 years.
