Car description |
---|
The 1934 Buick had a new style that was immediately recognized with what was termed as smart and modern “Wind Stream Styling.†It was easy to admire the new, sloping V-type radiator with chrome plated grille, which gave the car a pleasing forward appearance. The restyled fenders now almost completely covered the front of the chassis. The new headlights had a simplified design in which the parking lights were concealed, while the hood extended nearly to the windshield and featured long, horizontal chrome-trimmed louvers. Fisher Body craftsmen extended themselves in building a smart, new modern wind stream styled body that was a roomy and comfortable car with a luxury feeling.
This resto-mod has a beautifully original and correct look on the exterior. Its paint is fresh with two-stage paint represented in beige and brown two-tone exterior colors with a fresh interior in beige that is in the correct colors. The Buick has dual side mounts and the artillery wheels were part of the original package; the whitewalls are radial reproductions. Running gear consists of a 455-cid, 350-hp Buick engine that is matched to a Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission and a nine-inch Ford rear end. Additional mechanical highlights include front disc brakes and rear drums recently upgraded to Police Special and power rack-and-pinion steering. The air conditioning and stereo are tastefully concealed so you really have to look hard to see them. The car is rust free as can be seen in the pictures of the under side.
Although I prefer cruise-ins to car shows, in the five years I have owned the car it has been entered in four car shows and earned an award in all four: two Peoples Choice awards and two First Place awards.
I am not interested in a trade since the reason I am selling it is to free up some garage space and a trade would not accomplish that.
The car will be sold on a bill of sale since Alabama does not issue titles for cars over 35 years old.
Please review my feedback on previous cars I have sold and judge my reputation for yourself.
I encourage you to schedule a test drive and inspection. You won’t be disappointed.
