Car description

Sunnyside Chevrolet of Elyria, Ohio in conjunction with Greg's Sports, Classic, & Muscle is proud to offer for sale this beautiful 1967 Buick Gran Sport 400 4 SPEED CONVERTIBLE!!!!!
This one checks a lot of boxes folks. Let's start with RARE, RARE, RARE. In 1967 there were 13,433 Buick Gran Sports built. Total. Now let's get down to it- just over 2000 of those were 400 convertibles. 422 of those were 4-speeds. 422. 422. This car is one of 422!!!!! Oh, did we mention it's also numbers matching? Did we also mention this car NEVER has been rusty? Did we mention we know the restorer and he is one demanding SOB? Did we mention its frame off? Oh yea, and by the way, it's also a factory red car with buckets. My oh my.
Quoting an ad from 67 “The heart of Buick's GS 400 is a 340 horsepower, 400 CID V8 engine. It's a tuned, ticking machine that's ready to move you into city traffic or pull you through a turnpike curve at the touch of your toe”. Oh, those ad writers in 1967. This GS is powered by its original, delivered with, built by GM engine. It's been freshened and even has all its original components and runs just as nicely as one would expect.
The interior of this GS is mostly original- dash- seats- door and more. We know the carpeting is new of course and the interior certainly portrays itself just as a 51K original mile car interior would look. Did we mention the car has 51K original miles- YEP. A power top is also a very nice compliment along with a console surrounding that rare 4-speed.
The body and paint are very, very straight on this old girl. When our friend Kevin was restoring it in 2012 to 2013, he said that he spent days on his back removing grease and grime from the underside. One thing he did not do is metal patching. The photos of the car stripped are a pure and accurate representation of what Kevin started with. He had the frame powder coated. AMAZING. We'd call the paint on the car extremely nice.
Is this GS perfect? No, but it's really nice. Perfect is a tough word for us. So few cars qualify. Generally, you have to spend a $100,000 or more and then keep it in a bubble to be perfect. Kevin built this car to enjoy and he did get some smiles on it. Thanks Kevin for saving this one.
We have a number of during restoration photos that go with the car and we welcome inspection on this GS- we are proud to have it
Drive it, show it, keep it in a bubble and polish it as a prized possession, the choice is yours once you make it yours.
We stand behind our thoughts on this car by offering our travel expenses guarantee- come see the car and if we have materially misrepresented its condition we will gladly pay half of your travel expenses up to $500.00- this offer had been in place since we sold our first classic and we haven't paid the money yet…. We pride ourselves on having good cars and representing them properly.
