1972 Buick LeSabre Convertible
Up for sale is a beautiful, almost 50 year old 1972 Buick LeSabre Custom Convertible, with an extremely smooth running and very powerful 4 barrel carburetor 455ci. engine, an HEI distributor and the famous bullet proof Turbo hydramatic 400 transmission. This Buick was manufactured at the Fairfax plant in Kansas City, Kansas and was delivered to the Walt Adams Buick Dealership in Phoenix, Arizona. It was then sold to Southwest Auto Lease on March 2, 1972 where the car was leased to an Eaton Corporation executive for two years. After the lease ended, Southwest Auto Lease then sold this vehicle to my father in 1974 and it has remained in the family since that time.
This Buick was recently professionally appraised at $11,500. I have recently invested almost $10,000 replacing the top and fabricating a new parade boot, along with replacing the carpet and upholstery. I took great consideration in adhering to the original. The seat belts were replaced as well. The only major restorative repairs left to be done are minor body work and exterior paint and air conditioning. Minor repairs needed include speedometer calibration, cruise control, air conditioning compressor and stereo repair. There are minor oil drips underneath. The oil is very clean. This car is not perfect...it has some small dents and dings...however, the body is incredibly straight. The frame, floors and trunk are solid and have no rust issues. You can drive it home safely and with confidence.
