We sell all cars as-is, which means the buyer is responsible for any and all repairs, according to the Ohio Buyer's Guide. Remember: it's the buyer's responsibility to inspect the car before bidding. When you view the pictures of the vehicle, make sure you look at them on a large screen to ensure that you can see all attributes of the car. Good luck to all bidders.
We are offering for sale an old 1966 Buick Electra 225 Convertible. This car is equipped with a V8, automatic, power steering and brakes, power seat, upgraded radio, power top, factory mag wheels, parade boot, and much more. We purchased this car from a gentleman who had too many cars and had to sell something, even though his intentions were to keep the car. We drove the car about 40 miles home at about 70 to 75 miles per hour, and it drove back like a charm.
The motor sounds great, the exhaust has a little bit of a "whir" to it, but you can see the exhaust is new by the underneath pictures. It starts easily, drives straight down the road, shifts twice like it's supposed to, and has no rear end noise. The brakes are straight to the top, but there is some air in the line, because when you hit the brake pedal, sometimesit goes down too far. If you hit it again, you'll be okay. The convertible top, both rear shocks that bring the top up, and the electric motor were all just replaced over the summer. We think the boot is brand new, too.
The interior we think is in great shape for being 52 years old. And the body looks great. There are some bubbles on the body, so don't let the pictures fool you into thinking it's nicer than it really is. If you're looking for a summer cruiser that everybody fits in, and everyone will watch you go by in, this car will definitelydo all that for you. The trunk is really clean, and so is the engine and engine compartment. I have all the engine numbers and the plate listed on the Flickr slideshow below. The owner told he believed the 69,000 milesto be actual. If you live in Ohio, they only guaranteeactual miles for 10 years, so a lot of older cars will read non-actual because they can't guaranteethe miles to be actual. If you'd like to stop by and take it for a cruise, we look forward to seeing you.
