Car description

You are looking at a tastefully and professionally modified 1987 Grand National hardtop (Canadian). You will not find a real 1987 GN this clean and this fast for this price. See it and you will believe it. Yes, it's a Canadian car, but it should go without saying that she has never seen winter. I am providing the most honest and complete description of the car as possible, but please feel free to ask questions, schedule a visit (if it's possible for you to do so) or request any additional information or photos.
A lot of time and money was invested in mods, but all stock parts come with the car, as well, including stock turbo and heat shield, down pipe, ECM, original radio, etc. This car used to belong to the owner of a speed shop and has been very well maintained over the years. I've got too many other toys (boat, bike, Jeep), so I just don't get to use this car enough to justify the expense of keeping it. I've put less than 2500 miles on it since buying it 3 years ago. There's a lot to list here, so call or email with any questions or for more pics.
This car is currently set up and tuned for premium pump gas (91-94 octane) and around 20lbs of boost. It can easily run a 1/4 mile @ 11 seconds on street tires with the right driver and if tuned for higher grade gasoline, i.e. C16. Slicks can take you into the 10s, but a roll cage anddrive shaftloop(s) are highly recommended at that point. For daily driving, and with its current tune, the car is smooth and docile as you need to give her a little to get that massive Turbonetics turbo spinning (see description below). Anyone who knows Grand Nationals knows what can be done quickly and easily with a more aggressive program for the installed F.A.S.T. Classic (see description), and without changing anything in the mechanical setup.
Street or strip, let her rip!

Condition:
The mileage on the dash reads 39,600kms, but must have gone over one turn (see vehicle history report, for free). In any case, the engine was recently rebuilt (around 2011-2012) and has less than 10,000kms/6500 miles on it. All other major modifications were done last summer, including the ported, polished and painted heads and intake - therefore fewer than 100 miles. Body and paint are very clean, 9/10. Interior and undercarriage are impeccable. There is some rust in the hood where the latch is located. I didn't really address it since owning the car because I was considering replacing it with a fiberglass hood, instead. There is a small crack in the front panel where the hood meets the front body. I believe it's because the hood was improperly adjusted, but has since been readjusted. There is some rust in the passenger side door pillar (it's a GM from the 80's, folks) which will eventually need to be addressed. For now, it is well greased to prevent spreading. Other than those minor issues, the car is in exceptional shape for its age.
Right now, all that is missing is the cruise control module, freon for air conditioning, and cigarette lighter.
Terms:
Freight, delivery and duties at purchaser's expense. I can drive the car to the New York State border (Derby line) if it facilitates shipping or pick-up. Of course, all necessary brokerage and arrangements should be complete in advance. I will assist the buyer with this part of the transaction, as needed.
I reserve the right to end this listing early as the car is also listed locally.
SALE IS FINAL so please email me with any questions prior to clicking Buy It Now. I will be happy to answer all questions by email or by phone, and can send additional, high quality photos of any part of the car you request.
I am relisting this since the previous "winning bidder" was actually a fraudster.
