Car description

2 DOOR COUPE CONVERTIBLE

Note: the second picture is shown with the original rims/beauty rings & 1940 Hubcaps with an extra tire mounted& placed in front to show original look. The rest of the pictures are shown with theaccessory spoke rims.BOTH sets come with car. ALSO: rocker trim, radio & license plate glass/chrome retainer are now installed. One dash picture shows no radio, one shows it installed, as it is now. As with original license glass/chrome cap (not shown in either picture of trunk, but now installed). And, a good set of rear fender rubber splash panels/guards are in trunk for the next owner to install, if wanted.

**1940 Buick : Super 8-Coupe Convertible; model 50 series:::::Two owners in 75 years.

No holes in floors, trunk, with very small holes on inner rocker.

**Body & Paint: solid body metals with very little repair, if any. Splash fender areas & wells are rustfree. The paint is original (old & still serving). Driver's roll up window glass has a crack, but is firm, still water tight, &winds flawlessly. There are no visual blocks, so no need to change any time soon. Glass is available on Ebay. All other glass is perfect. Windows roll up/down great. All chromes (door window surround frames, etcetera) are Nice. Doors close nicely with hardly any effort & have good alignments with NO drops. And, they lock. No rust on door bottoms or skins.

**Interior & top: ALL recently NEW. Top switch isunder dash not hooked up; hand operation is the NOW method). Top clamps nicely with very little effort.

**Engine: the straight eight overhead original motor. Smooth operation, no oil smoke, not overheat & no valve tapping

**Stability: Stays easily true on road with minimal steering wheel play (acceptable & better than most I've known). Had recent new brake work (stop on a dime thing)........................................

**Transmission: manual column shift seems to be flawless(rebuilt). No clutch slippage, noise, or kinking(all new parts).

**Gauges:That are working-gas, charge, oil pressure, temperature. Not work: brake lights. Speedometer works, but seems half scale). Heater is hooked up (fan motors underthe front seat is "heated seat" 1940 STYLE )...............The emergency brake does work, as does generator.

The original frame factory riveted vehicle identification number(VIN) plate is place. Also, the original motor number plate in its 1940 place. Clear Florida title in my name.
