Car description

1963 Buick Electra 225 2dr Hardtop

HOPE YOU LIKE PICTURES, ecause below we have about 150 to show you !Why buy from us ? Our feedback speaks for itself and we have some of the veryBEST REPRESENTED vehicles on ebay !! by that I mean we post over 100 pics ofthe vehicle. Inside, utside, nde, verywhere !! Ive yet to see anyone else onebay put up detailed pics like ours. We dont have alot of fine print blah blah.Just the important stuff buyers are looking for.NO RESERVE-- BID TO WIN -- DONT MISS IT IN THE ENDVERY RARE ANDDESIRABLE 1963 BUICK 2 Door Hardtop / KEEP IN MIND in 1963ONLY 6848 of these cars where built, ow many are left ? What are the chancesof seeing one at a local car show or dream cruise ???!!! Slim to none. If you wantRARE / Different and LUXURY, ook No Further !!this car was at the top of its game back in 63 and GM pulled out all the stopsto make this car Top Dog to potential buyers. In 1963, f you had money orwanted your neighbors to know you had money, enerally this was one of thecars to buy. It was also a car GoodFella type guys where known to own anddrive. It was huge and being a 2 door was just a great cruiser. This was Buickstop of the line rig back in 63 and when you look at all the cool features thiscar had inside and out, t gets more impressive.BRIEF DESCRIPTION: this car Id consider a Barn Find of sorts, ut luckily atleast its an AZ find. Meaning no rot on the car like an eastern car. The car hasbeen sitting for at least 15 yrs. It spent most of its time outside in the AZ sunmost of its life causing alot of sun damage to the original RED interior . Checkout ALL THE CHROME inside this car and the knobs and controls they used forthings like Vents and AC controls, his car deserves to be restored. As faras the drivetrain goes, t rolls and steers but the motor needs to be rebuiltafter one day it just died. Not sure how bad the motor is, ts not locked up andthere are no holes I can see in the block, ut the 401 Nailhead needs workbefore it will run again. Maybe its even a good time to RESTO MOD it and lookat a more modern drivetrain for this beast. LS1 ? LS6 ? Cummins Turbo Diesel ????That would be an awesome project when done.SO ITS NO SECRET THIS CAR WILL NEED A TOTAL RESTORATION for the most part..The Positive points: little to no rust or rot mainly on the Az body, ll the originalglass seems to be usable and intact, nd its a great original color combo.During repaint, hite would be cool... but with a RED INTERIOR, o would BLACK or SILVER !!Both colors with RED INTERIOR are amazing combos.Add some 22" wheels and tires, ow can you go wrong !!???Odometer Shows aprox 61k miles on it, hances are it has rolled over atleast once. Ill have to see what the title says.

OUR 100% feedback speaks for itself - PLEASE CHECK OUT OUR FEEDBACK !!and many of our feedback are from about 15 cars we sold just this pastyear here on EBay. We put more time and effort into our ads making it mucheasier for the potential buyers to bid with confidence.NOT MANY OF THESE cars left with most of its original sheetmetal still like this one.UN RESTORED SURVIVOR

EXTERIOR: Pretty sure this body has had at least one paint job, F NOT it has had some repairto the RR area behind the pass door at one time. I can see evidence of past repairthere. There is also dent in the same area now, etween the door and RR wheel. The LF fender looks to have been replaced maybe at one time, ou can see the LFheadlight chrome trim is loose and the hood and fender dont line up as well asstock. It looks obvious when you see the pics below, ut I just wanted to point itout just in case. Much or most of the OEM trim is still in place and accounted for.And the car has alot of it. NO rust (other then some surface) at the bottom of therear window like many GM cars from this era. Dont think the car has ever had avinyl roof, o the top sheetmetal is in good shape. Much of the chrome is showingits age after 50 yrs as you can expect, ut there is LITTLE TO NO PITTING !!Why is this important ? Because it makes the re-chroming process much betterand cheaper for the consumer.

DRIVETRAIN: it is an original factory 401 Nailhead motor and Turbine Drivedrivetrain under the hood, hich as mentioned we know at least the motorWill need a rebuild or major repair. (think they said it had a broken cam). Thetransmission should be fine, ame for the stock rearend. Most all of the originalpieces are still under the hood if you plan on doing a Stock restoration. If you are planning a 502 Big Block or Cummins Turbo Diesel conversion, henwell at least you still have the original drivetrain for down the road if you want it.Car did have Factory AC so thats nice for doing a restoration.INTERIOR: old, riginal showing its age, ts because its been in the AZ climateFor the last 40+ yrs, ts very dry and in bad shape. It will need full restorationhere too on all the plastic and vinyl parts, r at least most of it. 3 out of 4 of thefactory PWs did move when I hit the switches. So they feel like they want to workat least. Factory console and FT Bucket seats are a really cool touch on a 20 Foot longCar !! The Buick Layout of the SPeedo / Gauges / Clock / Radio and MISC CONTROLSis really classic and restored back to Stock, t would look awesome. Check out the ACCONTROLS mostly hanging down above the radio. This was the JET AGE for Americaand the car manufacturers reminded us of that for much of the 60s !! There is alot morechrome inside this car then you can imagine. And its all steel, lmost no plastic here.Just sitting in the car checking out the layout, felt like I should of had my flight suit on :)Keep in mind, his car is far from being restored and you are buying a project car !!Stock radio could wor, ard to say because the speaker is old.TRUNK: mostly surface rust, idnt see any real rot to worry about, retty sure the5th stock wheel / spare is missing, runk light is factory. I dont have a trunk key,I actually only have 1 key for the car for the ignition. To OPEN the trunk, use thefactory TRUNK RELEASE neatly hidden in the Glove Box.

SUSPENSION: basically bone stock suspension thats been taken careof over the years.NOT much to report because I cant drive the car, ut Im sure its old like rest of thecar and will need some attention in the future. But it all seems to be there makingfor less work. Who knows, aybe its time for an Air Ride conversion :)

It rolls and steers and the ebrakeworks a little. The normal brakes dont work.Good luck in the bidding, t will be worth it in the end !!!
