Car description

1963 Buick Electra 225 convertible 98k original miles. This car is a time capsule. I acquired this car from a family that had owned it since 1979. Documents show the car has had about 5k miles put on it since it was purchased in 1979. The family told me their father would only use the car a few times a year and usually made an appearance in their local parade most years. The rest of the time it had a comfortable attached heated garage it rested in. This car has been gone through to make road worthy. recent maintenance includes new tires, new brakes (including master cylinder, brake booster, all brake hoses, all wheel cylinders and all new brake hardware kits), new belts and all rubber coolant hoses, new thermostat and water pump, new fuel pump, tune up, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, new timing chain set, and new brake light switch. The 401 nailhead engine runs well with good power and performance. The dynoflow transmission is very smooth and quiet (it appears to be rebuilt although i have no documentation on this). The body is very rust free and has the original undercoating. When all the brake hoses were changed all lines came loose easily without any heat or fuss. It does have a few spots that it has been touched up over the years, but believed to be mostly original paint. I would rate the body condition a 6-7 out of 10. When looked at closely you can see some cracking of paint and a couple of old repairs. The interior is the best part! I would rate it a 8 out of 10. It has some weathering but no cracks through the leather, everything inside is believed original with exception of the drivers armrest which i had recovered due to a crack. Power seat works in all directions but needs a power seat relay. The power top also looks to be original and in good condition some yellowing and clouding of the rear plastic window but you can still see through it ok, runs up and down quickly and smoothly. Here are some of the other option on the car, it has factory A/C (does blow cold through the vents and works off the factory controls when charged. however freon leaks out in about 2 days), cruise control(never tried it), AM/FM radio works, power antenna(motor runs but does not go up or down on its own), automatic headlights, and automatic high-beams, power windows, power wing windows(motors run but gears are stripped), vacuum trunk release, and speed alert. Car must be picked up within 1 week of auction close unless other arrangements are made or waiting for funds to clear. All inspections are welcomed, happy to work with your Representative or appraiser if needed. Happy to help with shipping.
