You are looking at my 1976 BMW 2002. This car had a bare metal respray in 2005 as well as a completely rebuilt engine and the compression was bumped up to 9.5:1, ike the European counterparts. I believe but can not confirm the transmission was updated as well as tis is the best shifting 2002 I have been in, o zips or grinds in any gear up or down. It was then put in storage and at some point moved outside and abandoned in 2014. It was then purchased from the storage facility. It did not take much to get this gem on the road. There has been a total of just under 8,000 miles put on it since the restoration. The brakes were gone thru and new brake lines, n 05 it received a weber 32/36 carb and it has been freshly rebuilt. The only other issue was a small leak from the rear of the transmission which has been repaired. The body is laser straight and looks great, ut due to sitting outside the clear coat has peeled off. The body is really dry and solid. I have owned over 30 2002s and this is one of the best driving, raking, nd handling 2002s I have been in. The suspension is basically stock but in great shape, he motor seems to pull harder than my tii. The window and door seals I suspect were replaced during the rebuild as they are all in great shape, he trunk seal appears replaced as well. The tires are brand new (a couple months old). Everything on this 02 works all lights including dome light, rakes, eadlights etc. the lighter works and I charge my phone by it, he wipers work as well as the washers. This 2002 is roadworthy and I would not hesitate to drive it any where.
