1972 BMW 2002First off, this car for the most part is rot free!!! Only spot is in the trunk in the spare tire well(pictured). The floors are as solid as the day it left the factory. I've enclosed a picture of the ad from when I bought it. Not sure the exact miles because I feel when they brought it back to the States they would have put an Englishinstrument cluster to replace the metric one. Low mileagefor sure....The interior is original and look at how great the seats are. The car is straight and solid, definitely what you would want to start out with. I know what your all saying, it's an automatic. Really who cares, you can switch it out to a manualfor $1,500 and still have a rock solid, mostly original car.
I purchased this car 4-5 months ago for a father/son project. So far I replaced the driveshaft center carrier bearing. Bought a new battery, fuel filter, cap, rotor and wires. I also just purchased a new Weber Carburetor. When purchased I put Marvel Mystery oil in the cylinders and let them soak. After a week it turned over by hand so I replaced the above mentioned parts and the car started up by putting gas down the carb. It wouldn't stay running because of the condition of the carb. My son moved away so the car has been sitting the past few months. I'm now moving and can't take the car with me so it's time for someone else to enjoy. I primed the top half because it had surface rust. The whole car will need to be sanded down and painted at some point or as straight and rust free as this car is it would be a great candidateto leave bare metal and clear coat it??? I have the front bumper(missing one bracket), original wheels and hubcaps, some of the trim, extra steering wheel, original carburetorand air cleaner. The car is not a running driving car yet. It rolls and steers fine and the brakes work. Haven't started it yet with the new carb. Will need a new fuel tank and fresh gas.Any questions please ask. I will do what's needed to help out on my end if you require a shipper. Once paid it can also sit here in the garage a few weeks while lining up your shipper. Thank you
