Car description

Up for auction with no reserve, a 1988 BMW 635csi. Black with tan interior, and with a salvage title. Miles are 143000 and it is accurate. Ins. company salvaged this car in 2012 due to contact front left, and the damage has not been repaired. It is missing the front left bumper end piece and has a dent in the drivers side door toward the front. The car runs and drives as is, starts reliably from cold every time with no known mechanical issues.
Cold start video (using jump battery), and walk around:https://youtu.be/IgY-PuwqYIU

known Issues are as follows:
  • Damage to left side door and missing front bumper end piece
  • hail damage all over hood and roof
  • worn out seats, although foam is in good condition
  • dead battery
  • window tint on rear windows is peeling and needs to be removed
  • paint is in bad shape, many small dings and scratches in addition to the hail damage
  • missing tool kit
  • some oil drips, not a lot but enough to notice
  • sunroof is slow and headliner is failing on sunroof (maybe why it is slow)
  • missing radio
  • cracks in dash
  • dust behind glass of gauge cluster
  • shocks are junk
  • tires are junk
  • tail lights are junk
  • A/C untested and assumed not working
  • rust area at drivers rear wheel well
  • salvage title

The good:
  • BBS style 5 17" wheels are really nice
  • carpet is pretty good
  • starts easily, runs and drives
  • all electric seats work
  • no prior body work or paintwork
  • paint is original and does polish up well
  • no rust in floor or other areas aside from the lower wheel arch noted above
  • 3.5l straight 6 cylinder is really nice to drive

This car could be fixed up pretty nice with some tlc and make a nice daily driver. The title issue and general condition would not make this car a candidate for a keeper or one to worry about keeping miles off of, but mechanically it is good to go. Most of the body could be cleaned up with a good pdr craftsman, except the rust and possibly the drivers door. Seats will need to be covered but foam is still good. Please feel free to ask questions, I have done my best to accurately represent the condition and don't want anyone to be surprised thinking they are getting a really sweet ride here.
Selling this with no reserve, and can assist with local delivery or with your shipper. I have the Missouri title ready to sign over.
