Completely Restored 1991 318is

Fully restored stock-spec Alpine White over tan leather 318is. VIN matching panels. Clean Carfax with no mileage discrepancies or accident history. California car (passed CA smog prior to my purchase) all its life until I purchased it in late 2017. Previous owner had performed a full restoration on the vehicle, including engine rebuild (@ 175k) and complete interior and glass-out, bare metal paint job. When I picked up the car it was literally in showroom condition...the paint was flawless, the car smelled like fresh leather and the carpets and mats were pristine.

Particulars from the restoration: ALL NEW OEM headlights, signals, fogs, brake lights and indicators, grill, emblems, rear spoiler and front and rear door cards. OEM 14" BBS basketweaves were refinished and I have installed new Vredestein Sportrac 5 high-performance summer tires. Interior includes OEM sport seats and rear bench reupholstered with OEM color-matched tan leather with factory spec perforations. All new carpeting and matching mats front and rear, and a crack-free dash. Leather and carpets were sourced from Germany. Brand new color-coordinated headliner, new sun visors and vanity mirrors. OEM "M" shift knob and I installed a freshly wrapped black leather M-Tech 1 steering wheel (original airbag and wheel included). Blaupunkt aftermarket CD head unit and upgraded Pioneer speakers in factory locations (original OEM head unit included). Power windows and mirrors work perfectly, as does central power locks and hand crank sunroof. No water leaks anywhere. Suspension, brakes and clutch all in good working condition. No warning lights and no current maintenance or repair needs. Since buying the car in late 2017, I have performed the following maintenance in addition to frequent oil/filter changes: new Bosch battery, new plugs and wires, rebuilt AFM, new heater core, AC service including new dryer bottle and condenser (has been upgraded to R134a...blows very cold even on a hot, humid Chicago day) and a new muffler. I also had a complete fluid refresh (differential, transmission, steering, brake) when I purchased the car. I have put approximately 6k miles on it in 18 months, driving it sparsely during winter months to keep the car running but only on dry roads with no salt. The seat leather has softened up a little, but otherwise, the car's condition is every bit as showroom quality as when I took delivery.
