Car description |
---|
I've been daily driving this car for the past year, and finally decided to buy a new car. I have 2 e36 M3's as well something just had to go. I've spent a lot of time and care on this car to make it road worthy, and you can now enjoy my hard work.
I will be sad to see it go... but it has to, so I'm going to list it no reserve, and with a low starting price.
I regularly am approached with comments like, "so clean", and "nice sedan" and "i used to have one of these".People love to talk and enjoy these cars, but I bet you already knew that.
There are some minor exhaust leaks which I have chosen not to fix, which add just a little liveliness to the drive. They are very slight.
If you want to race the car and were thinking coupe, sedans are known to have great body stiffness due to the b-pillar.
I was going to do the turbo addition, and built a megasquirt for it, if you want it I would be willing to sell separately.
RECENTLY REPLACED:
blower motor
odometer gears
fog lights covers
front turn signal indicators
kidney grille
front liprear shock mountslow beam lights (upgraded to 50W)valve cover gasketspark plugsthe rear tires are brand spanking new
UPGRADESBelly pan for oil pan protection
kenwood radio with bluetoothAll windows tinted to 25%
SUSPENSION:
Cosmo coilovers [350# 550#]SLR lollipops for caster adjustment
New from 325xi dampersBilstein rear dampersMy front alignment settings are:-1.5 Camber11.0 Caster.2 Toe
BRAKES/WHEELS/TIRES:z3 rear hubs, with 325 rear calipers and rotorse36 front hubs, front brakes match e30 m3 diameter rotor size front and rear225 45 17 front and 245 40 17 rear tires sumitomoauthentic m3 contour wheels painted base clear metallic grey 17x7.5 front and 8.5" rearThis 5 lug conversion cost quite a lot more money than I expected when I started, I think I spent $1k just here.
THE STUFF THAT WORKS BETTER THAN EXPECTED:The car rides excellent with the coilovers. The shifter has been rebuilt, and is very tight and solid feeling. The brakes matching M3 stop very well. The car turns excellent. The engine runs really strong, and idles smooth. I regularly hit 100mph with no shakes. The clutch feels centered and strong. The body paint was redone before I bought the car ~1.5 years ago, but it matches jams well, and looks crisp. There is no rust any where, the car has been south all it's life.
THE THINGS THAT DON'T WORK:The sunroof is broken. The fuel level sensor works, but the sender seems corroded, sometimes the fuel level is dead, sometimes it's full.Left rear window motor/switch seems broken. The A/C works, but the blower resistor seems to be close to dying, the motor only runs at lower speeds. The turn signal doesn't return to center.
I sell quite a lot of bmw stuff and have excellent feedback, please buy with confidence.I'd prefer a down payment after auction ends within 48 hrs. Title is in hand, so bring cash for final payment.I would be willing to ship at buyers expense, and I can help.
