Car description |

I present to you a 1958 BMW Isetta 600. It is a very niceexample restored years ago.
It has been driven very little since restoration. It looks like it was a thorough all points restoration. The car starts easily, runs smooth, shifts through the gears with no issues. All lights, horn, brakes work as they should. Glass is good and all weatherstrips are tight.
I have owned the car just over a year. It is my dream to own an Isetta and I toiled and sweated and worked to build up the funds to buy this car, I even sold a Honda 600 sedan I hadmeticulously restored a few years earlier. Now my life has changed yet again and I must pass on this beauty to a new owner in order to fund a new chapter in my families life.
Overall the car is great. I won an award in the one car show I entered it in. It works and drives and stops as it should. It has minor issues both cosmetically and mechanically. I have tried to picture the cosmetic flaws. There is a small touch up on the roof that is not an exact match for the car. There is a small scratch on the drivers side lower body. And there is some chrome pitting on the front lower bumper. There are a few other minorimperfections in the paint but it has a great overall look. Mechanically the only real issue I have is the fuel selector cable is binding and will only move from off to on, but not reserve. I think the cable has a kink inside the car, and i will try to correct that prior to sale. At light throttle when warm there is a very slight surge that will improve if the choke is closed slightly. The rear tail light lenses are original and not perfect, along with the passenger tail light housing. It has typical deterioration from fuel spillage. I do have some replacement euro style lenses with it. When I bought the car (oneBay) and received it I immediately had the tires replaced with a fresh set because the tires on the car although looked brand new had age cracks in them. I also purchased a set of new 600 correct hub caps. I also installed the wine colored aviation buckle seat belts (don't hate on me for that). The car has a basic lawn and garden battery under the rear seat, and i will be installing a new one prior to sale.
I have a few other items to add in pictures, including a spare wheel, a couple of moulds that were used to recreate the rear reflectors, anoriginal manual, anda few other trinkets.
Also not included in the sale but offered to the high bidder is an additional rebuilt 600 engine with clutch. It is gorgeous and looks like a top notch build. I had it as a back up for this car if it was ever an issue.
