This is a very rare 1958 BMW 600 limousine. It is in excellent condition and is currently licensed and completely drivable. It was restored around 20 years ago to a very high standard. There is no rust or rot. There are no signs of bodywork or body filler that I can detect. Underneath the car is very clean and solid. The paint job has held up very well and is of great quality, eing 20 years old it does have a few small nicks, cratches and touch ups. The worst of which is a small spot on the roof (see close up picture). The glass is all original and has a few very light scratches but otherwise is excellent. The chrome and bright work is very nice but there is some minor bubbling in the front bumper that goes along the door and the piece under it that goes under the door. Both doors open and shut great. The Interior is also in extremely nice condition. The seats are comfortable and supportive. The headliner is beautiful. I believe the dashboard is original and in very nice shape. On these cars the dash is made of a type of cardboard composite material and its rare to find one that hasn't drooped or fallen apart. It has its original rubber floor mat. The speedometer and all indicator lights work. The heat/defrost works. The 12 volt negative earth electrics work great wipers, ights, orn etc are all working. The 600cc 2 cylinder 4 stroke engine starts easy and runs great. The clutch and brakes are excellent. The 4 speed plus reverse gearbox shifts great through all gears. I have had the privilege of driving several of these over the years and the shifting is usually this cars weak point but this is the nicest shifting one I have experienced. The tires are usable but quite old and should be replaced. The tread is excellent but the sidewalls show cracking and the car sat un-driven for some time and the tires feel a bit out of round. They are 145 sr10's and are available from several vendors (coker for example). It has a clear Washington state title and is currently licensed as a collector vehicle. It comes with a good spare wheel/tyre and several manuals plus some extra air and oil filters and a few other bits and pieces. The car still has its original tail light lenses installed but the right side has a crack/warp. There are new reproductions included if you want to replace it.Overall this car is in outstanding condition. These are much rarer than the 300 Isetta and I have seen them sell for over $80,000 at live auction. The reserve is very low considering this cars condition. This 600 represents a fun car that you can use and will likely be a good investment as these cars have continued to climb in value over the past couple decades.Buyer is responsible for shipping costs and arrangements.I highly recommend and encourage a personal inspection if possible. The BMW can be viewed by appointment in Granite Falls, A (near Seattle)I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.Must be picked up within 30 days.$500 paypal deposit due within 2 days and balance due within 1 week of auction end. Please feel free to ask any questions and be sure to watch the video of this car in action:
