This car has been my reliable companion for most of it's life. I am the second owner, ut have had the car for the majority of it's 20 years. It's driven me across the country many times, isited almost every state, s the car I met my wife and took her on our first date. It's never let me down, t's never been in an accident, ever even had a major dent, t's been extremely reliable. It was my first BMW. I have lovingly taken care of it, utting only synthetic oils in it from the beginning, aking sure to change everything, rom brake fluid to transmission to rear gears, long with the basic engine oil. It's lived in a garage most of it's life, ad all maintenance done on time, adiator flushes, askets, ose replacements, ater pumps, hocks, nd bushings on schedule. In exchange, his car has run perfectly, dles like a kitten, nd every feature works: Power windows all go up and down without issue, ir conditioning blows cold air, oors shut solidly, here is no rust on the car, he original paint still shines nicely. No squeaks, o big tears, o falling headliner, o dents, o leaks, o weird clunks, o holes in the exhaust, o cracked glass, oes not burn oil, ot smoking, hifts smoothly, rives straight, andles great. It's never been modified to be lowered or hopped up. It has just been driven daily, ith OEM parts replacement when needed. It's been cleaned, olished, nd waxed it's whole life. This is not a show car, ut it is in great condition, nd doesn't need anything but to be taken care of by a good owner. I'm only selling this car because there is no room left in our garage. After getting married and moving our families together, ncluding a live-in mother-law who still drives and has her own car, here is not enough space in the garage for all the cars. One of them has to go, nd sadly for me, t is this one. This car is not fragile, s not creaky, nd still moves very quickly. The only major changes that are really different from the factory are the stereo, hich I replaced with a CD player that could also play music from USB, nd the tires. I didn't feel those original tires were that great, o I switch to a sportier Toyo tire for much better grip and what I have driven on for most of it's life. You will feel quite comfortable diving into any turn with this car but you will not have your fillings rattled when going over every bump. I hope this vehicle finds an owner that will appreciate it as much as I have.I will miss my companion. With that said, et me also add:Is the car perfect? No. Let me make sure that even though you can't see certain things, hey are called out, ven if they are minor.1 - Living in Texas, he front of the car has the usual rock chips from driving on these highways. I polish and I wax so that it's not noticeable in the pictures, ut this is the original paint on the car, nd years of road debris have hit that front.2 - There are two dings (not dents, ust dings) which are on the passenger side rear door area. I always park at the far end of the parking lot, ut it still happens from doors and shopping carts. Every 2 or 3 years, usually take it to a paintless repair to have those accumulated dings back out, ut I hadn't gotten to these yet. 3 - On the front passenger side, ne of the stereo speakers has a cosmetic ring around it that is cracked. Everything works, ut I thought I should note it.4 - The paint on the engine block itself is peeling. Purely cosmetic. No rust, ust looks less than stellar. One last thing I want to say is: if you are mechanically capable to change the oil of a car, his is a great car and I highly recommend you do the work yourself, here are no special tools needed to work on this BMW. In it's lifetime, t has never been back to the dealership from the day it left. All gaskets, ushings, luids, rakes, ave been done by me, o if there is anything on the car you need me to show you before taking it, can do that. The car will come with various pieces for the next maintenance cycle, uch as OEM oil filters. The oil has just been changed, nd the gas tank is full. All you will have to do is get in this car and drive.
