Car description

This was the last year for the MKI - I have been told this was only one of 44 MKI/s built in 1961. Sprite MKI's were built from May 1958-May 1961. I have been told that only 44 Sprites made in 1961, nd the VIN number on this car "refers to Completely Knocked-Down (CKD) kits that were sent for assembly in Australia. The last Sprite assembled at Abingdon was #49584, n November 1960. Your car's serial number would indicate a September or October 1960 assembly date". Car registrations numbers match: Body - AN546729, AE 46899, ng. 9C-U-H47281 and all number plates are present.

The car is mechanically sound and rust free. The 948cc motor is strong and the clutch and gearbox are excellent. Brakes are good and steering is spot on. Acknowledging that every one worries about rust....... I can provide many photos showing the rust free status, ut of course a personal inspection would be the best. The interior is also very tidy. The paint is excellen, but has a couple of minor flaws. There is a little bit of crazing on the hood, ery hard to see, ould not really catch it in a photo and also one spot where the paint is up a tad, nda spot behind driver side bumperette where the paint is thin, idden by the bumperette. The hood undercoating looks proper and complements the engine compartment. All chrome is excellent and carpet and all trim is also. The car has its side curtains, he proper top frame, nd a new vinyl top that has not been installed. New tonneau installed this year. I have the front bumper but will need re-chroming. Car appraised for over $14000

This car was purchased from a University Professor who owned for 24 years. The previous owner according to him was the President of the local AH club in PA. Theowner I purchase this fromhad his own mechanic and kept the car stored indoors in a heated garage where his other antique autos were stored. I have the front bumper but will need re-chroming.

REMEMBER I WILL NOT SEEL OUTSIDE THE US> Sorry!
