Car description |
---|
American Motor Company Eagle Limited Wagon - this classic car gets a lot of attention everywhere it goes! I bought it 4 years ago from a guy who worked with a mechanic to do a lot of the refurbishment. I love driving this car, and wouldn't be selling it except that I moved out of the country a year ago and cannot take it with me. It's a fun car to drive, and I've taken it on a number of road trips, especially into the woods and mountains in the Pacific NW. Note this is an older car, and has its quirks like all old cars! Eagle is sold as-is. Please feel free to ask questions before bidding.
GOOD
strong motor (256 straight 6, you find this motor in lots of Jeeps). about 23 mpg, 208K miles
automatic w/ power windows, doors and seats
newly rebuilt carbs
replaced cracked motor mount
rebuilt transmission 7 years ago
reupholstered seats and new headliner
new seat belts in the back
new tires 2 years ago
optional 4x4- turns on with a switch when you're rolling slow, works great. awesome car on backroads!
body has no rust, new paint 5 years ago
new serpentine belt, distributor cap, rotor and spark plugs, starter
new front shocks, rear shocks are still good
new rear hatch lifts
steering, tie-rod and alignment adjusted
regular oil changes and maintenance, passes WA state emissions tests
NEEDS WORK
all of the door seals could use to be replaced at some point (this will make the ride quieter)
sometimes smells like its running richtransmission mount is cracked and needs to be replaced eventually (not dangerous to drive as-is, but the ride will be smoother once replaced)fuel primer pump is weak - takes a few extra cranks to start after sitting for a while, but always does!
driver's side door hangs a little low on it's hinge (needs minor adjustment and shim)
rear driver's side door only opens from inside (needs a simple connector piece to be replaced)
antenna is broken off (but I still have it)
