This car was built in 2016 using a Super Late Model I raced from 2012 to 2015. I only raced the car as a SLM 4 or 5 times in 3 years. It just didn't work out to try and compete with pro cars and drivers when you can't be there every week. I still wanted to drive, but I didn't want to go full time anymore. I like cool looking vintage cars, so I built this. The vintage schedule tours a lot of different tracks, This is a great way to experience a lot of racing without a full time committment. Health and family reasons force sale.
The car is great, 2006 Lefthander Chassis, Tweaked by Holmes Motorsports, B & B 9:1 dry sump motor, 5.5" clutch, Trick Rolltek trans., Winters Lightweight rearend 4.86 gear quickchange, All really good equipment. Might be the buy of the year as a super late model and switch the body back. Engine has approx. 650 laps since completely freshened, Since it has been in Vintage body, I don't turn over 6700, I don't want the maint. and it should run thousands of laps if run this conservatively. Make no mistake, this thing has 8200 in it all day. Valve springs 150 laps ago.Body is a 1971 AMX Javelin, Mostly steel, hand fabricated body mods, not a bunch of bondo, Lightweight glass hood, alum. tail panel and grille panel, custom nose / header panel, Molded Lexan 5 star windows, Alum. interior, Autometer memory tach, all the typical current Late Model race car stuff, Fuel cell, Fire system, Door bar pad, good mirrors, 8 custom white Bassett wheels. Paint is base clear PPG Synergy Green and white, Hand lettered old school style, you can make it your own or we can change it to suit.
Set-up to go anywhere with minimal changes, I ran 5 tracks, fast at all of them, only changed tire stagger and QC gears.
