Car description |
---|
This is a comprehensive nut and bolt restoration of a very solid car. A unicorn if you will. The motor chosen in the build was the 2 liter and it has been very recently tuned by one of the most competent Alfa mechanics in the US as part of the final sorting.
Many components were powder coated in the rebuild. Many hard to source parts were obtained as well from Europe. One of the best painters in Phoenix did the bodywork and paint. The restoration covered a lot of time and utilized several craftsman.
The brand new wheels are competition GTA wheels and the tires are new with less than 25 miles. Everything works as new or better with 1000 miles of driving and sorting on the restoration. The tires and wheels were put on after the sorting. I am confident in making the claim that this may be the finest example to come to market. I cannot imagine an area to improve upon and having a car on the lawn at Pebble Beach and crossing the stage allows me to say this car is ready for that scrutiny. It requires a lot of resources in time and money and patience to achieve this level.
Please look at all the detail throughout and look closely at the motor compartment and undercarriage. The door fitment along with the trunk and hood are among the best you could hope to find. They are amazing. The front nose, the grill and bumpers and body panels are also concours quality in fitment and finish. Look closely at the photos showing the clarity in the reflection in the paint, many spiders currently for sale are asking less than the cost of this paint job alone. The cloud reflections in the photos are almost startling. They represent an unprecedented level of prep and paint application that allows the flat surface to reflect those clarity of images. Also look at the underside photo showing the spot welds and quality of body prep and paint. I humbly submit this was over the top restoration unlikely to be seen again.
Sadly, the current financial situation I find myself in requires the sale. I have no choice but would like to see it go to someone that appreciates this quality and somebody will no doubt get a great deal. Thank you
This is a $100,000+ restoration as are most properly done Italian vintage cars.
