Car description |
---|
This 1941 Willys is a complete custom build using a glass body on a custom chassis. It's a radical build, beast on the street and a stunner at shows. The car has beautiful paintwork complete with Red Candy paint and killer looking ghost flames. If you are in the market for a serious street machine for the summer, our chariot has arrived.
The Willys is built on a completely custom chassis with a lot of great parts. Fat Man Fab polished tubular stainless arms are up front and steering is courtesy of Mustang II Unisteer rack with Fatman spindles and Shockwave Air Ride adjustable shocks. The brakes consist of 12.19 Wilwood slotted rotors all the way around with Dynalite Pro calipers. The rear suspension is constructed of a fabricated Ford 9" with 3.50 limited slip gears, nd heavy duty Moser axles. This monster housing is hooked up with a custom built 4-bar parallel kit with a heavy duty diagonal link and the Shockwave airbag over adjustable shock combo. The brains of the airbag system is a Ride Tech, ide Pro E3 system which has 3 custom programmable preset ride heights for easy of use. The wheels on the Willys are Billet Specialties Bonnevilles.
The engine is a custom built balanced and blueprinted Big Block Chevy that comes complete with an engine summary report, pec sheet and cam card. Final displacement came out to 467 CI with a 4.311 bore and a 4.000 stroke. The motor uses an Eagle 4340 crankshaft, agle 6135 connecting rods, B pistons and Pro Comp cylinder heads. The cam is a Comp Mutha Thumpr spec'd @50 intake 227 and exhaust 241. The lobe separation is 107 giving the motor a really radical sound at idle. The intake is a custom built Inglese throttle body set up with a Hogan custom sheet metal intake. Just the intake and throttle body setup was just over $10,000.00! Not only does it look incredible, ut it's extremely responsive and powerful. Keeping the engine cool is a Griffin radiator with electric fans and keeping the driver cool is an Vintage Air system complete with their high end billet front runner system. Even the valve covers are the very expensive Billet Specialties covers that are machined from chunks of aluminum. The exhaust dumps from a set of fenderwell headers and sounds straight menacing. The transmission is a TCI Turbo 400 that is built to handle the power of the motor all day long.
The car has a custom built interior complete with Autometer gauges, n Ididit column, ir Ride controls and stereo head unit. The shifter is a B&M floor mount in a fabricated steel console. The leather seats are comfortable and are matched by the custom upholstery in the trunk of the car.
This car is not for the faint of heart, ut if you are looking for thrills packed into a quality build, his car is one heck of a machine.
