Car description

This 1959 Willys 4x4 pickup has been restored to give it a terrific classic presentation. And don't forget, beneath the head-turning looks, this Jeep is the original American 4x4 with a go-anywhere attitude.
The handsome, upright truck body says Jeep as loudly as any modern CJ, and it's an icon familiar all over the world. But this pickup still retains its own unique flair. That's why people will love them at the car shows...even if they've never seen one before. This Willys was even under the same family's care for 55 years. There was a handwritten note that came with the truck telling the story of a who father purchased this one new as a rugged work vehicle. He even drilled holes using the power take-off (PTO) shaft - you can still see the linkage in the undercarriage photos. He kept the truck until he sold it to his son in 2002. And this Willys didn't leave its first family's care until 2014. Of course, the truck you see today is a little removed from its drilling days. It was given a proper restoration. That includes vivid red paint that does a great job of highlighting all the ribbed details that came in the panel stamping (they were originally for strength, but now just increase the cool factor.) You'll love the classic style on everything from the Willys badging up front, to the bright white wheels. And remember, if you got this stepside from Ford or Chevy during this time, the bed floor was made of wood. Instead, this ready-to-work, military-grade Jeep has strong steel reinforcing it. The PTO is no longer in operation, but you still have the access hole just so it can remain part of this unique Jeep's story. And that's the true beauty of this pickup. It has a show-worthy appearance, but it will also never lose its work-ready look.
The interior continues the vintage workman atmosphere but a fresher feel from a proper investment. The durable bench seat, rubbed rubber floor, and simple door panels with armrest are all clean and complete. The standard Willys cluster has a cool connection to the CJs with the central mount and large speedometer with secondary gauges embedded at the bottom. You also have your heater controls there, which is quite handy for when you're up at dawn to be first in line at the car show. The whole space has a great time capsule feeling, right down to the classic dual-spoke steering wheel with Willys center cap.
Under the hood is a 226 cubic-inch Super Hurricane six-cylinder. The L-head motor is the correct powerplant for the car, and because it's a significant part of Jeep history, you'll love how this one is ready to show off. More than just a detail-oriented package, the motor fires up with ease and runs strong like a good Jeep should. The standard 4x4 system is the backbone of Jeep's reputation, and it's why these trucks were the choice for government duty. Plus, the three-speed manual transmission gives you great control on the street or trail.
Complete with owner's manual, this classic Willys Jeep pickup is the ultimate expression of going anywhere and looking distinct doing it. So don't let this restored vintage truck slip away. Call now!
