1947 Willys Overland Jeep Station Wagon Presented By: GARRETT CLASSICSclassic and collector car sales and consignment1865 McGee Lane, Ste FLewisville, TX 75077Call Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 We are extremely proud to present this extraordinary 1947 Willys Overland Jeep Station Wagon. Introduced in late 1946, the 47 Willy wagon was the first all steel station wagon. It was an improvement over the old "Woodies" in the sense it was not prone to weatherin, peeling or the squeaks of the Woodies. Features Include: L134 4 Cylinder Go Devil EngineManual 3 Speed Column ShiftOverdriveFold Down Tailgate The interior is next to perfect in it's restoration. There is one thing that the current owner changed. The door panels were originally a type of material painted to match the light beige paint on the body. They were not perfect, so the owner decided to replace them with a birch wood panel. It looks really very nice. Click here to enjoy the video of this 1947 Willys Jeep Station Wagon. The current owner also added the carpeting in front with some runners in the rear to protect the wood slats. The paint work is exceptional inside and out. The L134 engine runs strong and this wagon is fun to drive. The over drive makes it even better to drive giving it that extra little burst of power. What a great family weekend car this would be. These engines were used in most US Army vehicles during WWII. This one is still going strong after 73 years. This second latch release was added by the current owner rather than putting the side latches like some people do. It's just a safetyprecaution in case the hood is not latched tightly. Now there is no chance of it popping up while driving. You can see how nice the undercarriage is. This was a very nice restoration. The outside photos show the true color of this beautiful 47.
