Car description |
---|
1949 Willys Jeepster, 2WD, rebuilt 6 cyl Super Hurricane engine - compressions 110 - 120, serial #46384816, odometer 13,000 but no details, burgundy/black paint (weak), poor chrome, small oil leak & exhaust leak (gasket at pipe & manifold), minor surface rust on floorboards. Nice top, good tires, newer interior, many parts/systems rebuilt in 2001 by previous owner, not driven & stored inside since.
Below is the description from the previous owner when purchased in 2013This is a very nice, dependable great running example of a 1949 Jeepster.
The motor was completely rebuilt in 2001 by the previous owner.
The owner was going to restore the exterior but had health conditions.
Car was kept inside until I purchased it.
I have all the receipts for the engine, including no's crankshaft, block bored .030, hardened valve seats, new water pump, fuel pump, oil pump, totaling over $1500 spent on the engine.
The car also has a new clutch.
This is Avery good running vehicle that is very dependable.
The interior was redone in 2001 and stored inside.
New top and side curtains.
I have owned the vehicle since 2011 and coated the fuel tank to preserve it from modern fuels.
I completely rebuilt the brakes with new wheel cylinders, master cylinder.
All of the gauges work correctly.
The wiring harness was replaced in 2001.
The car remains 6 volt and has rebuilt generator, starter and a new regulator.
This is the 6 cylinder L Head Motor with OD.
I also installed a new muffler.
The body has had some sheet metal onto the original pans.
The original pans have some holes but are not rotted.
All the floor braces are good and the paint is OK.
The paint is decent so you can drive it or repaint it.
Please look at the pictures as the paint below the tag has some small bubbles but nothing major.
Please do no hesitate to contact me.
