Car description |

Up for auction is my Willys Pickup Truck that I bought about 16 years ago from Texas. I spent 6 or 7 years rebuilding it from the ground up, but now it needs to go to a new home. It doesn't get driven much anymore so its time to sell. It has a Chevy 305 mated to a Novak adapter with hydraulic clutch to the Willys T-90 3 Speed manual trans. It runs and drives great. The engine was rebuilt by Canton Automotive Machine. The rear axle has 4.37 gears and the transfer case has the optional Warn Overdrive so it go's down the highway quite nice. New tires, wheels and battery last year. The bed and side steps have been Linex coated and there is the W/O tailgate on the rear of the bed. The truck is titled as a 1949, because when I bought it, the front clip was from a 56. I decided to finish it as a 56 so it would look correct. The rear window and dash are correct for a 56. The side steps and tailgate are correct for a 49. This is a great driving truck and can be viewed at anytime at my home in East Sparta, Ohio
Items to note; I did not install a headliner, but do have the stays so the new owner can complete if desired. There was one spot of bubbled paint at a seem on the passenger fender. I treated it with POR-15 to kill the rust. You can't see it with the hood down. I did not swap out the front axle when I did the back so the front driveshaft is currently un-installed, but I do have the front axle ready to go in. Lastly, the right rear fender has one of the holes that didn't line up, so if you looks closely you can see an extra mounting hole in the body.
