The Willys Jeepster was only produced for three years (48-50). Overdrive was standard with the 3 speed manual tranny. They shared their drivetrain, suspension, and drum brakes with the Willys Station Wagon. The flat topped rear fenders were from the Jeep truck line. There were just over 19000 Willys Jeepsters (VJ) produced in total, with 5,836 produced in 1950. Many of the 10,326 original 1948 Jeepsters were re-titled as 1949 models when new. Its price tag of $1,765 was very substantial for the time and the Willys Jeepster never really caught on with its intended customer segment. The 1949 model's price tag would be lowered substantially to $1,495. Whitewall tires, front bumper guard, and chromed wheel rings were extra cost options.

The exterior paint and body show beautifully. The Emerald Green paint has an excellent shine throughout. The doors open and close tightly as does the hood. This Willys Jeepster showcases a nice restoration. The chromed bumpers are in good condition as well.

The convertible top assembly and side curtains are in excellent condition.

The interior is in very good condition. The custom leather upholstery shows well front to back, although the back is showing some age in a few discoloration quarter sized spots "see photos". The dash and instruments were removed during the restoration and dash refinished beautifully, in Emerald Green. The instrument cluster is functional including temperature gauge and fuel gauge. The speedometer works & the Rim Blow Horn ring works. The machine-tuned dash face is beautiful, so is the steering wheel.

Note the cool old factory knobs & Motorola radio. A turn-signal assembly has been added.

Note the detail & factory heater.

The foot start works correctly. We love the old-type carpeting.

The engine compartment shows well, displaying the Hurricane 4 engine. The firewall and inner fenderwells are clean. The engine runs very smooth and is coupled with the sweet-shifting 3-speed on the column manual transmission.

The underbody appears to be exceptionally solid throughout as you can see in the above photos. It could use a good detailing, but is structurally excellent.
