1953 Willys 475 Pick up truck. 283 Chevy V8 conversion done MANY years ago. Cast iron bellhousing and proper mounts. Original 3 speed, twin stick transfer case and axles. Runs very good. Missing some chrome items, in need of a resto or resto mod. Very solid cab. Corners are good as well as rockers and floor. Glass needs replacing and there are a few areas where old body work is bad. I'm in process of wet sanding the black someone sprayed on it to bring out the old red patina. I planned on clearing the truck and revamping the mechanicals. Some pics, I hosed it down to show a cleared look. Truck is currently flat and red. Wiring is scary, but works. Brake and fuel lines are pretty hacked. Easy stuff to change. Very cool, old rustic truck with a tongue and groove stained wood headliner. It's crazy. Old rope was used as garland around the door openings. The bed is pretty solid with a couple problem areas around some stake pockets. Very heavy duty bumpers and four mounting holes in the bed lead me to believe it possibly had a tank and hose reel possibly. I was told it originally was a Colorado Forestry Service truck. Possibly brush truck? I have found nothing to verify this, but it is a good legend. Im not looking to get rich on this truck, but if it doesnt sell, I will carry on with my plans.
