For auction is a 1951 Willys M-38 military jeep. It has a solid tub with many of the original brackets still attached, including for the ax and shovel. The rust on this Jeep is minimal, with normal amounts of surface rust, but almost no rusted through spots (the only spot I can find is at the base of the grille) and very little pitting. Compared to other Willys jeeps I've seen, the tub and bracing underneath are in great shape. The body is a little battered but very restorable and has at least two military paint jobs for some reason. It also did some time with the Fish and Wildlife Service (if you look closely at the hood numbers, a faded decal can be seen), but I don't think it has ever been registered for civilian use. The jeep is missing the seats, gas tank, driveshafts, misc engine parts, and instrument cluster, but is very unmolested. It comes with what appears to be the original flathead "L Head" 134 C.I. engine, but it is completely ruined from a cracked and corroded cylinder. I do have a spare L Head (needs complete rebuild) that will go with the Jeep if desired. It does have what appear to be the original wheels. Everything in the pictures is all that comes with the jeep. Please email me with questions. A deposit of $500 is due within 48 hours and payment due in full in 7 days. Non-payment will result in forfeit of the auction and negative feedback. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, but I will be available to help load. I obtained a clean Utah title in my name, so registration shouldn't be an issue.
