Car description |
---|
1972 Volvo 1800ES long-term NM resident.
Virtually all of the car has been expertly maintained and continuously upgraded over the years. It is not a 100 point show car, but it is easily one of the nicest 1800s you'll find. Car was repainted twice due to long term NM sun damage before I was satisfied. Paint cost easily exceeds the price of many average cars on ebay. Mileage is unknown, but virtually everything has been rebuilt or replaced over the years.
Upgrades over the years have included replated bumpers, all new Swedish stainless side trim, leather faced bucket seats in factory color, IPD sway bars front and rear, new dash pads, Minilite style wheels. Radio does not work as I didn't have the heart to punch an antenna hole in the fresh paint.
Updated but period correct Volvo style A/C will be added before delivery. A/C upgrade includes late Volvo 1800 dealer installed Frigiking style a/c with new Sanden style compressor, electric fan, upgraded radiator, upgraded condenser and upgraded evaporator.
Reason for sale is I rarely drive it and need garage space. Too many projects.
Also slowly liquidating tons of Volvo 1800s of all vintage, many parts for Volvo 1800s and Amazon 122s. May be enticed to sell Jensen Interceptor solid California project which runs and drives but needs full restorations.
Have 1800s of all vintage which can be restored to your specifications. Assume a full restoration or restomod will entail at least 1,000 hours labor plus parts. I do have solid SW cars or bodies to use as a starting point for a build.
