Car description |
---|
I have owned this Volvo since mid 2016 and, for me, that's a long time. This car has been professionally maintained since I owned it. I have tons of records from the previous owner and myself detailing the work. I also had a Experian autocheck performed on it before I purchased it and it's a clean car with lots of logged dealer maintenance from the state of Indiana to PA. The previous owner loved this car and installed goofy cross bars under the car and in the engine compartment. He also installed premium wheels and tires. Has third row seats that work well and lock into place. Not driven in the snow/ice since I have owned her. Mileage is guestimated to the best of my ability, as the odometer did not work when I bought it (records and previous owner told me it was around 155,000 when I purchased it). I have had the following done with receipts:
- replaced the wires, plugs, caps 2017- timing belt replaced and cover replaced 2017- recent new belts and alternator 2018- recent new battery 2018- August 2018 passed PA inspection for safety and emissions- replaced engine mounts 2017- new calipers and pads 2017/18- replaced bushings- drive shaft repaired and rebuilt 2017- front control arm replaced 2017- new suspension links and center bearing 2018- new ball joint 2017- new speakers and used tape deck, all operational- new rear muffler and hangers 2018
The good is listed above. It has been very reliable and maintained. It's a good looking car and has virtually no rust. The negative is listed below:
- cosmetic paint peeling on passenger side top quarter panel (see picture)- driver's side seat bottom has lost some stuffing and two front seats have minor seam separation- passenger side headlamp is sun faded (driver's is not)- dent near rear fuel cap on body, no rust, just a dent- occasionally is fussy about it's idle, but don't have this problem up north- turns over for 3-5 seconds to start sometimes, always starts though- rear seat latch broke at plastic, but a simple push with a screwdriver unlocks them so they drop- The front speakers I installed kinda sloppy. I just cut into the interior to make them fit.- odometer doesn't work- automatic locks work except for driver's side passenger door, which is easily hand reached- cruise works, but looses speed, so needs light gas pedal depression occassionally- one plastic bottom hinge/guide of glove compartment broke, but it closes and locks fine still
I had this car in PA of which it is titled, inspected and insured, but I spend half my year in New Orleans, Louisiana (winters) where it is currently located. You would need to come get it in New Orleans (I know that's a rough ask) or coordinate with me to get it to you with the costs being paid by you, though we could negotiate something.
Please ask questions before bidding and please realize I'm an experienced car seller/buyer. I will write up an as-is bill of sale to be signed. Also, I would require full payment (check cleared) and signed bill of sale before releasing the title.
Thanks,

Also, you'll notice a few rust bubbles at the front lip of the hood starting. It's not very noticeable. Overall it's a well maintained daily driver with some cosmetic flaws, but it's very reliable and properly upkept. I drove it from PA to LA this past fall with no hesitation. It has never stranded me and it's never been abused. I've always kept it cool, lubricated and running right.
Again, feel free to ask me anything and feel free to take a look or test drive it here in New Orleans.
