Car description

1981 Volvo 245 (240 wagon) GLT. It is a non-turbo. Rare one year only color and model. The "GLT" badged non-turbo wagon was only available in 1981, as was this particular color. The color is called Cypress Green, and is extremely rare. It has a B21F K-jet injected engine and an AW55 3-speed automatic transmission. 157k original actual miles, and the odometer works. Lots of recent work done, most since January 2018, which include; New Bosch main fuel pump and accumulator, timing belt and tensioner, OE front engine seals, valve cover gasket and half moon seal, injector seals and cleaning, throttle housing and fuel distributor plate cleaned and adjusted, flame trap service, intake manifold gasket, oil change, air and fuel filters, distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs, OE water pump, OE thermostat, and accessory belts. We also replaced the drivers front window regulator with a good used one. No wiring was cut or spliced during the replacement. Recent ipd sport springs, shocks and struts, as well as tires. AC does not work. We have not diagnosed it and don't plan to at this point in time. There are a few surface rust spots, but nothing serious. Floor is rust free and solid. What you see in the pictures of the floor is dirt, dust, sand, and probably some salt since we took the photos when it was still cold out. The thin undercoating starting to fail in spots, mostly along the edge. It is starting to flake off. But once again, there are NO holes in the floor!
Car is very original and is a one-of-a-kind 245. We purchased this car in December for our own personal collection with the intention of keeping it, but some things have come up in the meantime which is why we have decided to sell it.
This car is currently titled, tagged, and insured in Delaware in our personal name. We have it on an antique insurance policy which is very inexpensive. It is also antique tagged. It should qualify to be antique tagged in most states and does qualify for antique insurance. Passed Delaware inspection in February 2018. Buyer is responsible for all of their own title, taxes, insurance, and inspection fees.
