Hello Friends. Today I am offering this nice, clean little Volvo 240 Wagon. I had seen this at my neighbors house and when he decided to sell it a few weeks agoI thought it would be perfect for my daughter who is just getting started driving. These are known for their safety and durability. My neighbor years ago had one and was in the 1,000,000 mile club!, even had the badging on his 240 from Volvo. So I bought it and much to my surprise my daughter refused to drive it. She just doesn't like it. Go figure! So much for being a safety minded dad. She tells me she wants a Lexus, so I told her she can walk to work then buy her own car. So I am offering it to a person that knows the value of driving a Volvo. Guess you either love em or hate em, but they are a darn good car. They run forever. This one shows 217,000 on the clock, but odometer hasn't worked since right after neighbor got the car 7 years ago. He figures maybe he put on another 15,000. He replaced the taillights and headlights with new ones. The car starts and runs and drives just fine. Its a little cold blooded when you first start it and takes a bout 2 minutes to smooth out. But when warmed out it runs great. Its an automatic and shifts smoothly. The AC I am told needs charges, but the heat works great. Tracks down the road nicely. All in all this is a nice driving and riding car. Very smooth goin down the road. Neighbor had a new windshield installed and there is something weird with the rubber trim piece around windshield. Has power windows. All the doors open and shut very solidly. There is a small bit of rust on drivers side at the back of the rear wheelwell where the lower trim hooks up. Not much but I think you can see it in the pictures. Paint shines very nicely. There ae of course normal wear and tear items on the car. Few pings and scratches here and there. Interior is in really good condition. There is a tiny hole in drivers seat and the seat heaters aren't working. Could be a fuse, but I don't know. There is a light on dash that comes and goes that is the overdrive indicator. I was told that there is a relay in the glove box that costs 40.00 that should correct this, but unsure. No smoke or engine noises. Brakes operate well. Radio works. LIghts, turn signals work. Exhaust is in good condition. Tires are in good shape. I am sure there are other things that a 27 year old classic will require, but overall this is a very clean example. If you have any questions, please e-mail me before bidding. Feel free to come to myhome here in Kansas City and see it, drive it and look at anything you need to. As with any used vehicle of this age I can offer no warranties, expressed, or implied. All sales are final. Buyer responsible for pickup of vehicle. Thanks for Your Time, and Help Yourself!!
