For sale is my 1983 Volvo 242 with a 5-speed overdrive standard and a naturally aspirated 4-cylinder this car is in excellent condition with just over a 100,000 miles and is an excellent daily driver. The paint was done in its original color at a few years ago and has a few imperfections however it shines nicely and and is very presentable. The body has a couple of dings however is an excellent rust-free condition with no dents just a couple chips and dings. The car is very reliable as I used it as my daily driver for three years and took trips to Boston and Niagara Falls from my house with no problems. My girlfriend and I used to joke that a 1983 Volvo was the most reliable car we had. The car spent a lot of its life sitting in Arizona which explains its rust free condition however the interior is somewhat sun-faded yet still there and complete and not torn up. I've done extensive work to this car so I know it very well the list of improvements I have made include new blower motor for heater system full tune up with all fluids changed, ca, wires, spark plugs and rotor changed fuel pump in tank changed with all proper clamps and place so it stays put. New Old Stock map pockets on doors including armrest and center console. Brake pads replaced and front calipers replaced overdrive on stick shift rewired and works perfectly, upgraded to the Virgo 15-inch wheels with new tires, large diameter ipd sway bars with urethane bushings in front and back, new shocks and struts all around, other polyurethane bushings in front end to tighten i, new mass air meter, new windshield washer pump, I'm sure there's plenty other of things that I am forgetting. there are a couple of small issues that could be addressed or just tolerated including gas gauge works intermittently I believe it's just a faulty sender unit that I put in when I replaced the fuel pump in the tank I went with the cheaper Chinese one (mistake). I also patched the center part of the exhaust while it is working and has not let go, it's not pretty the rest of the exhaust is very solid however, one of the windshield washer nozzle is clogged that should be an easy fix and as I mentioned the interior is complete but a little faded and could use a bit of cleanup so as you see this would be an excellent reliable daily driver in very presentable condition or you could restore it back to original condition. as you see from the pictures I dressed it up a bit for a rally theme however the decals can easily be removed and the numbers on the doors are magnets which would easily just come off and I'd be happy to keep if you didn't want them.
