I purchased this truck from the city of Alexandria VA and drove it home with my pickup on the back. I had a rollback on site to load it. It starts, runs and drives very well. I don't think it is going into high gear and I believe it is due to the speedometer issue. Also, I calculated my MPG and I got just over 10 MPG. This is based on Google maps miles estimate and the fuel consumed. The Anthony lift gate works as it should and has a 2,500 pound rating. From everything I have researched, you do not need a CDL for air brakes unless you are using this as a commercial vehicle. This vehicle does have air brakes. Many large campers have air brakes so apparently they allow non CDL drivers to operate a vehicle with air brakes forpersonaluse. The sides of the body are easily removed. Please ask any and allquestionsbefore making an offer. Also, please message me if you would like to come by to test drive the truck. I will be adding additional photos soon.
