Car description |

Sorry for most of the pictures in the barn but it was starting to snow in Michigan yesterday. First two pictures are from today. Thought having a couple in the snow would be fun.
This is a very nice 1966 Volvo 1800S daily driver. Runs really great. Lots of fun to drive! Starts right up and idles around 1000 rpm's. Motor is a B18 with a B20 head for better compression and power. Has had recent Weber carb conversion. Original SU carbs and manifold will be included with car. Transmission shifts into all gears with no noises. Overdrive works great. Clock is missing from the dash but I'll include one to go with car. Previous owner was not mechanical so all work was done by professional shops. Car was driven on a regular basis. This is not a car that just sat in a garage.
Car spent most of its life in Tennesee. Car was repainted red 6-7 years ago. Originally a white car. Previous owner spent $8,000 on body & paint. At time of repaint frame rails were repaired. Drivers side floor was also patched. These repairs can be seen in the last 4 pictures. All glass was removed at time of painting. All rubber seals replaced. The paint is still very nice. Some bubbling between passengers side bumper end and tail pipe ends.
Chrome is in good shape with no pitting or dents. Newer exhaust system. Comes with original Jack and crank rod. Has original owners manual. Interior is very nice in this car. Upper and lower dash pads have been recovered. Dash face plates, switches, and gauges are very clean. Seats are in good shape. Interior panels are very nice. Carpet is new. Headliner is very nice with no sagging or rips. Glass all around car is great. Bilstein rear shocks. Rear IPD sway bar kit. Brakes calipers and hoses are new. All exterior lights work. New motor mounts. New alternator. Lots of money spent on this car.
This is the best 1800S coupe I've owned by far. I hope my description helps and wasn't too long.
International/foreign buyers are very very welcome to bid on my car. I've shipped many cars overseas. Shipping cost from my house to the port in New Jersey cost about $600. The cost for a single car to Europe by boat is roughly $800-1000.
I can help load car if picking up in person or I can get you in contact with my transport broker who is very good and fair on shipping prices. I can also deliver the car for a fee. Please call if you have questions. My number is 586.321.6572.
I will be uploading a video slideshow to YouTube in 1-2 days. This slideshow will have many pictures showing the car in greater detail. I strongly recommend watching this slideshow (once uploaded) and consider it part of the description. You will be able to search YouTube for this video under "Nick Tarlton Red 1966 Volvo 1800S". Sorry it's not uploaded already but I was having problems loaded to YouTube today.
Feel free to ask questions. Please only bid if you have the money and permission. I prefer payment cash in person but can also do PayPal, money orders, cashiers check, and bank wire transfers. The car is available most days and time to look over. I'm also open to having a hired agent come and look at the car. Thanks and have fun bidding......A lot.On Dec-13-16 at 16:59:09 PST, seller added the following information:

I still have not been able to upload pictures into a YouTube slideshow. If you would like to get those pictures please contact me and I can email them to you. You can call or text me your email.
Since I was not able to post the slideshow to YouTube I took a video today walking around the car. Video shows the body and paint very well as well as engine bay, trunk, and interior. Please take the time to watch the video. I think you'll be very impressed by the car. Search YouTube for "Nick Tarlton Red 1966 Volvo 1800". Let me know if you have problems finding it. Thanks. Nick.
