Car description

*NO RESERVE*
I purchased this car locally couple weeks ago with the intention of giving it to my dad, a long time 240 fanatic. Turns out he's perfectly happy with his rusted-out 240 wagon and doesn't want this pretty sedan, and my garage is full so sadly must let it go :( I bought it from the second (maybe third?) owner who purchased the car in January 2010 from a Honda dealer in GA. Him and his wife took great care of the car as far as I can see, from the way it looks and from all the maintenance records they gave me (LOTS of receipts). The car runs great from my experience, although I'm no mechanic. I replaced the overdrive relay which was faulty, a couple of trim pieces that were broken on the door handles, as well as both front door pockets, and bought some nice molded rubber mats for the front (original also included). I also ordered a new tail pipe since the original one has some holes from being old, and will probably install it before the auction ends (pictured in trunk). Like most Volvo 240's the odometer stopped working, in this case it happened a few years back at 85,450 miles. The previous owner was pretty good at keeping track of the mileage driven and estimates it having just at 100,000 miles now. This was the wife's car and she had a fairly short commute to work. I also ordered that odometer replacement gear, and will try and replace it before the auction ends as well. Seems like a fun project :) The body is in overall great condition, original paint, and no signs of previous accidents (that I can tell). It does have a couple of dings (maybe 5 total) that I tried to point out in the pictures. 3 of them are on top of the trunk most likely from pushing withknucklesto close the trunk (or maybe punching it, who knows), at least thats what it seems to me. The interior is really clean, only thing I could mention is passenger seat bottom cushion might need cleaned, maybe a coffee stain (not too bad). The rear deck? has fading as you can see in picture, its like an off-white color now. Dash has one small crack and 2 small areas where the vinyl kinda bubbled a little (pictured). Tires are older Goodyears with decent amount of life left. Has an aftermarket Sony CD player with AUX input. Original tool kit included with those fancy white gloves. If I remember anything else I will update the listing. Please feel free to ask any questions.
Thanks for looking, and happy bidding :)
