1989 Volvo 240 DL Wagon, speed, ower windows, ower brakes, ower steering, ir-conditioning, eated seats, ruise control, hird row child seat.Has some nice upgrades and a MAJOR stage 0 service. It is showing 97,070 miles but its more like 200,000 since the odometer was broken for a while (it works now). Original white paint with blue cloth interior. No rust. Texas car its whole life. Gets 23 mpg in town and up to 27 mpg on the highway.I'm the third owner and have records all the way back to the 1980s for it. I have receipts for everything listed below and all work has been performed in at most the last 10,000 miles. Overall the paint looks very good with the exception of the upper surface of the LH front fender which shows some topcoat loss and has a paint repair area.Air conditioner blows COLD!!!! This car has no window tint and about 50 yards of glass and it will cool down on a 100 degree Texas day.Clear Texas title in my name and current registration / inspectionSuspension / Steering maintenance and upgrades:New genuine Volvo trailing arm bushingsNew KYB front strutsNew Sachs rear shocksSet of four Continental Vanco II 185R14 tires with less than 10k mile on them.(the correct size and load range for the wagon)Outer tie rod ends replacedNew inner tie rodsNew tie rod bootsNew lower ball jointsNew front strut bellowsStainless steel hubcaps (the original plastic wheel covers go with the car also)IPD 22mm anti-roll bar set (makes the car corner better without any loss to ride quality)New polyurethane torque rod bushingsNew polyurethane panhard rod bushingsGT lower brace bars (improves steering response noticeably)Front end alignedBrake system maintenance:Both rear brake rotors replacedNew brake pads all aroundBrake fluid flushed and replaced (who actually does this?)Electrical system maintenance and upgrades:New LH and RH tail light assembliesNew Hella Supertone horns with relaysNew Sylvania H4 headlight bulb set 55w/60wE-code headlight set with glass lenses that don't fade in the sun (hard to find and expensive upgrade)New tailgate harnessesEnvironmental system maintenance:New wiper bladesNew climate control check valveHeater blower motor and resistor (not an easy job!)Air conditioner works great!Engine management system maintenance:Cleaned flame trapCleaned throttle bodyNew fuel pressure regulatorNew fuel filterNew tank fuel pump and tank sockNew air filterNew air box thermostatCooling system maintenance:New thermostatNew water pumpNew radiator hosesNew heater hosesCoolant completely flushed and replacedEngine maintenance:Valves adjustedNew timing belt and tensioner less than 500 miles agoNew valve hushersNew cam sealsNew NGK spark plugsFresh Rotella 5w40 synthetic oilAll motor and transmission mounts replacedRebuilt cylinder head with valve job and new guides plus a resurface.New Bosch spark plug leadsTransmission / Drivetrain maintenance:New SKF rear wheel bearings and sealsFresh Redline Type F ATF oil in the M47 5 speed transmissionFresh Valvoline 75W90 synthetic gear oil in the differentialNew Sachs Clutch and throwout bearingNew shift fork bootNew genuine volvo clutch cableNew shift lever bushingsNew inner shift bootNew shift knob and capNew driveshaft center bearingBody maintenance:New starla exhaust system (from cat back is all new)New window scrapersNew roof rails (the original roof rack goes with the car)New lower engine splash guardInterior / instruments etc. maintenance and upgradesNew pedal padsNew rear seat back release handleReplaced both odometer gearsLarge tachometer clock set upgradeGlove box lid with improved hinges !!!!!!!!!!!!READ THIS BEFORE BIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THE BAD STUFF AND FULL DISCLOSURE DETAILS:The engine idles roughly. It runs great on the freeway but has an uneven idle. I don't know why. I'm tired of working on the car and buying parts for it. Could be an air mass meter or the air idle valve or just a vacuum leak somewhere. It is not showing any fault codes. The LH front fender needs a repaint. It drips a drop of oil about every two days.
