Car description |
---|
1967 Volvo P1800S, win Carb 4 Cylinder, Speed with overdrive.Purchased the car from a lady who had owned this P1800S for approximately 15 years (always garaged) and it had sat for the last 5. She recently had all of the fluids changed, arburetors rebuilt, as tank cleaned, new battery, nd brakes gone through. The drive train including both carburetors appear to be original (carburetors still retain their original data tags). The doors, ood, nd deck lid all open and close well. I can find no rust on the bottom side of the car, ockers, ottoms of the doors, runk, ood, tc. all are clean. The seats and door panels have been recovered in the incorrect vinyl, owever, he interior is clean and presentable with newer carpet installed. I should note that the heater core has been bypassed and the bottom of the core box appears to be rusted. This is easily accessible for repair if you desire adding heat back to the car (the blower motor still works). All exterior lights, ignals, nd horn are operational. Original color was color code 91 - "Light Green" with excellent examples of the original paint found throughout the car. The paint and body appear to have been redone several years ago and completed to an amatuer level. Paint / bodywork shows wear in a few places around the vehicle. This car runs well and drives good. Tire tread life is at 95%. This is a very solid 47 year old classic Volvo that is a fun driver and always gets a thumbs up. I've tried to provide an accurate description of the overall condition. To help answer some of the many questions I have included a few additional pictures via YouTube. The dash pad has 2 cracks that I can see (one under the radio and the one above the ignition switch). The back seat is not torn. The car has a clear Indiana title. The body tag number and stamped body number indicate the car was produced in 1966, owever it is titled as a 1967 making the assumption the car was shipped to the US in late '66/early '67. The car had air conditioning and for some reason it was removed, o what you see is all that comes with the car.
