Car description

Selling due to loss in family. Since, riorities have changed. Car has been sitting for the last 6 months and I hate to see it sit much longer.
  • Restore is very far along. Not too much left.
  • Car is complete.
  • Third owner
  • Car spent most of its life in Southern California.
  • Solid body.
  • Strong engine (good pressure and compression numbers)
  • Weber carb convert
  • While running, ar being listed has not being road worthy yet. Due to on-going brake issues. Soft pedal/ weak pressure symptoms most likely cause by faulty master cylinder or a leak in the system somewhere?
Since limited in number of photos you can post here I've created Dropbox and Flickr photos pages with over 150 detail pictures. Likewise I created a document that expands on the bullet-point service notes listed below. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/6zxr5pir1kcugjz/AAB5hWUshokeiH2jKiMITwjaa?dl=0

Service Notes:
  • Painted to original Volvo color code 102: Steel Metallic Blue
  • Engine was pulled in 2014 for the bay and block painting
  • B20 engine painted tooriginalVolvo 'Red Block' Red
  • Compression test results 03/2014 : #1: 149 #2: 147 #3: 159 #4: 163 (Factory spec for these motors were 180-190psi so these are healthy numbers considering its age. No big gap in cylinders indicates a good healthy engine also).
  • New Seals, askets, nd hoses
  • New Motor Mounts
  • New Timing Gear
  • Upgraded to a Pertrionx electric ignition
  • Weber carb rebuilt
  • New OEM Bosch Starter
  • New fuel pump and filters
  • Radiator flushed and tested
  • Gas tank Boiled and treated
  • New Brake hoses all around
  • New calipers / pads all around
  • New Master cylinder
  • New rear rotors
Some things it needs:
  • Tires all around. This would be an ideal time to refinish the rims if you choose to keep the stock ones. I have a fifth wheel (without tire) for a spare.
  • New Battery
  • Washer motor
Some assembly still needed:

  • Hood and Trunk seals (have new set)
  • Upper Door weather stripping (have originals)
  • I left the side trim off. The trim that came off the cars is an aftermarket style with rubber inserts. It's complete but you may want to return it to the stock style. Up to you. Note: I do have an original set that came off my other 71'. If you'd like I could swap sets. It's in fair condition, ome dings (can photo if interested). Would need to buy Mounting clips and set is missing the passenger rear quarter piece.
  • I left the front bumper off as I prefer the look and found it easier to work on the car without it. I have it and will include.

Feel free to contact me with any questions. You may notice in the background that I have another one of these cars. The two are nearly identical in factory specs. Same year, olor codes, tc. Only major difference it being a standard shift. The other car is not as far along. I do have a perspective buyer for it but nothing set in stone yet. If you're a collector or simply interested in both cars, ontact me for more info. For the sake of simplicity I could offer some type of package discount.
